La BellaDonna wishes to remind the ladies that all feets, they are not the same, just as all figures are not the same. Those who find the round toes comfortable and beautiful should certainly wear them; but there are those of us who actually have pointy feet as the little joke from Nature (as opposed to working hard for many years to deform the feets), for whom the pointy shoe is the most comfortable, and the round toe, be it never so glamorous, and the square toe, be it ever so edgy, are agony on the feets.

Hmph.

Well as a child, my feet grew long
(the height maxed as the legs grew strong)
and had to wear the longest boot –
my shoes were never, never cute

I wept until my mother said
“Don’t look down, dear, just look ahead
Come see the films, for you there’s news --
the Glamour Girls wear pointy shoes!"

For those of us with skinny feet
who don’t in rounded toe look sweet
ward off boys timid, them reproach --
only Brave Boys will dare approach!

So for those who walk a shorter mile
It’s fine that you don’t like our style
You keep toes rounded, square and twee --
Save all the pointy shoes for me!

I love the pointy-toe. I have wide feet and buy 'em long. They feel great. As for people who fear that pointy-toes make your feet look big - I have never once looked at another woman and thought, "Dang! Her feets is HUGE!" But I have thought, "Those pointy toes look great with trousers." And they do.

I don't love pointy toes either -- my feet are fairly large for my height and most pointy-toed shoes I try on make them look absolutely gigantic. But when I was in Florence with my very stylish college roommate, she bought a gorgeous pair of pointy-toed pumps that made her size ten feet look dainty, and did not add five inches to the length of her foot or smash all of her toes together. So I know the pointy toe can work if it's well-designed.

I LOVE the pointy toe! A well-crafted pointy toed shoe will not make your feet feel as if they are in a vise. They elongate the leg and look amazing peeping out from a pair of wide-leg trousers.

I do not like the "thwap, thwap" noise from slingbacks either, and I am hoping Mr. Pliner has the same style in a closed heel.

I own many, many pairs of high heels in different styles and I like this shoe. If you know how to wear and walk in heels, then these shoes should be no problem. I wear a 10 but buys an 11 because I don't want my feet yo hurt. And I still look good, big feet and all.:-)

Ggggaaahhhhgghgh. I am 5'5"/5'6", depending on who is holding the measuring tape. I have size ten feet. Very narrow size ten feet. With a deformity that looks lie a bunion but isn't. On both feet. And I'm only 25.

Pointy toed shoes are Satan for people like me. Will this trend ever go away for good?

I love sexy shoes and gorgeous high heels. Unfortunately because of the aforementioned pair of grotesques on the ends of my ankles, I am stuck, for the most part, with flats (I will occasionally wear the sexy high heels, but I pay for it with foot pain for the next three days). This is just salt in the wound.

For one thing, physically this is torture. Do you wish to spend many hours in a podiatrists' office when you are in your 40's and beyond? Coupled with the very heinous pointy toe, this style should be sent to the slaughterhouse where it belongs!! I would not wear this anywhere. It had to have been designed by a person who never wears such shoes. I have incredibly narrow feet, could actually carry it off just fine. But have seen what shoes like this can do do a person's feet. . hammertoe, anyone?
