In my experience, insoles, especially the heavier ones with arch supports, take up enough room that they don't work well in a shoe this small. You could try to buy a half size up, but then the shoe won't fit as well.

As a working girl who also climbs ladders and has barely dodged falling because of a shoe that was trying to imitate Cinderella's, I have to disagree with this choice. These are adorable, yes, but I would go for something that could slip off less easily.

Toby, that is what the arch-supporting insole is for: to make the cute, flirty flat into something that is also comfortable and wearable.

I would recommend the John Fluevog Lately's; the t-strap flat is very popular this season, and Fluevogs are very comfortable. Not to mention, Zappos has them on sale!

Manolo, as a former shop girl, can I beg on behalf of the young lady a little something more in the sole (or padding inside the shoe) line? And, if ladder-climbing is in order, something that ties across the instep might be a bit more secure. Just a thought...
