Ukrainian Army Women and Their Shoes
Manolo says, many people in the blogosphere have been linking to this photo of the Ukrainian Army hotties. As one may see, for feetwear, anything goes, from the slingbacks to the wedge heels, although the preponderance are the sexy, stiletto heeled pumps.
By the comparison, the standard female dress shoes for the U.S. Army are supposed to be…”Black oxford shoes, or black service pumps…The pumps will be plain, with closed toe and heel. The heel will be between 1/2 and 3 inches high.” In the other words, functional, serious, and appropriate, but not hot.
Of the course, the Manolo cannot think of Eastern European women in impractical shoes without thinking of the sport of high-heel racing.
Nor can he think of Ukrainian women without thinking of that standard of Slavic pulchritude and wit, Verka Serduchka…

Wow! It’s just like Junior ROTC - short skirts, high heels, bad jackets, and scrunchies. My grandmother would take issue with how long each girl’s stride is. She would want to tie a scarf around their ankles to train them to take teensy steps. Perhaps if I forward her this photo she will leave me alone about my posture.

There’s also no way the U.S. military would allow women in the forces to wear their skirts so short. Short skirts hot? For sure. Professional (in the military, anyway)? Not at all.

The hair, too… with the exception of one girl who appears to have a short cut, I don’t think the long, flowy ponytails would cut it in the U.S. military… nor, if memory serves, would the lack of pantyhose.

I find this photo rather delightful! Personally, I am much more authoritative wearing stilettos than a pair of sensible court shoes.

I think some of them may have also modified the length of their skirt. Hope they’re not going out on maneuvers in those, you could get quite a cold breeze.

The only thing that would make this photo funnier would be if they were all sporting huge guns too. Imagine it. Dainty women in super-short skirts and heels with machine guns…

I’ve seen a girl do a side kick with high heels……about groin high…. you don’t want to be there. It sucks when she pulls the heel out…. of the heel. Poor dumb misbegotten sole.

There is actually one woman in the middle of the ranks who is wearing a knee-length skirt but she still has stiletto heels. I also notice the girl behind her towards the camera who is wearing blade heels and the one in front of her who is wearing slingbacks. I still love a woman in uniform, US Navy dress is best.

Sorta a good sign — apparently they’re being used as a recruiting tool. Ukraine must be moving towards being an all-volunteer force.

The Ukranian Army is notoriously sexist; you should see their recruiting ads! But somehow I’ve never found Ukranians themselves to be sexist. They’re all very, very used to taking orders from women all their lives.

They don’t fight in this uniform any more than US women soldiers fight in their dress uniforms; and on that subject a 3 inch stiletto heel is very sexy, - as can be even a 1.5 to 2 inch kitten stiletto!
These women could be from the Intelligence branch and one can imagine that they would get pretty good results when interrogating males; a stiletto heel and a pointed toe used on a certain pair of vulnerable and external male glands can be a very good inducement to ’spill the beans’ as well as to spill other fluids!
I was once at a dinner party with a women psychologist who worked as an advisor and trainer with the forces specialising in interrogation techniques and also how to resist them. I asked her what the secret was to getting men to talk who were trained to resist, she laughed and said not much, “with men you just kick them in the balls a couple of times and perhaps step on one and start to crush it and they’ll tell everything they know”! She further opined that females found this easier to carry out than the average non psychopathic male and that the male ’subject’ would actually be more likely to give in to a female particularly if the female was dressed in an attractive feminine fashion in either normal office attire or a dress uniform with skirt and pumps or knee boots. The humiliation apparently adds to the effect with the female also reinforcing the fear that he may no longer be able to enjoy women like her ever again. She suggested that pointed toes, platforms and stiletto heels in particular would be efficient instruments, - feminine and yet brutal. Males are more ready to believe that a woman would actually go through with the threat to effectively castrate them when applying pressure with her heel than they would with a male!
