He made a pair of buckled pirate boots that Johnny Depp would have sold his soul for a couple of decades back, and I have longed for them ever since.

PS: note to self: get on list for Fluevog events. Homeboy should invite the Manolosphere to his parties!

Alas, the cloven Grand Nationals are no more, though whispers from close sources say that we'll soon have something equally decadent in their place.

I've got Roccocco-heeled boots, which are gorgeous and comfortable, and a lovely pair of Barbara sandals with a heart-shaped heel, and I would love to get my hands (well, my feet) on some mini Sugar boots.

Ah, Fluevog... the shoes for the non-shoe divas.

Fluevog has always done interesting heels. The cloven hoof of the Grand Nationals is the iconic one, but lately he's had the swoopy Rococcos, the twee Teapots and the hourglass Minis. He even did the *ahem* phallic heel on the Body Part.

He's got some from these families in his Spring collection, along with above-mentioned Trulys. The stripey heel of the Blind Faith Nicolette is a bit scary though:

Poochie, if you contact the company directly, you might find that they can help you anyway. John Fluevog is evangelical about good shoes for everyone, and he's been known to make a size five for someone who really wants one.

He's just opened a massive new store here in Vancouver, and the shoes are gorgeous. Some are a bit costumey, but the men's shoes are fabulous enough to work for men or women in certain circumstances.

I love the Fluevog! It pleases me so much to see the Manolo loves him, too.

Poochie, I am not sure what size you wear, but many Fluevog shoes do run AT LEAST half a size small.

Those are quite pretty, and the price is not bad at all. I like the gray version even better than the purple, but I'm a sucker for anything gray or silver.

Yay Fluevog! I have purchased so many of his shoes since 1997. The great thing is that if I ever tire of them I can sell them on ebay for more than I paid. But I can't imagine ever getting tired of them.

I love Fluevog although I don't have any. I wish he started shoes at a smaller size.

I'm not usually a fan of Fluevog styles but I like these. And the price isn't too bad.
