    Beautiful, but owww, my feet!

  2. Rita Says:

The Manolo is, as almost always, correct.

  3. K Says:

I second Nancy! They’re absolutely gorgeous, but who could wear those for more than 15 minutes without breaking down in tears from the pain?

  4. benvenuta Says:

Yes, four and three-quarters inches is too high.
The Manolo should sometime try to wear some of the high heels he recommends in his blog. They are beautiful. Beautiful tools of torture.
I guarantee that after 15 minutes of wearing the shoes above he`d happily put on a pair of Crocs.

The Deja says, only if you plan to stand or walk in them.

  6. teteatete Says:

Someone went a little alliteration happy in the description offered by Zappos!

  7. Cristina Says:

They’re beautiful… but I am trying to heal a bad ankle. It’s impossible! Why can’t low heels be just as beautiful.

  8. angelhair Says:

    Stripper shoes.

  9. texasexile Says:

Fabulous. Who needs to walk anyway?

  10. teapunk Says:

They are not too high, but they are too expensive, even for a pair from Gorgeous McQueen. But they are beautiful and I want them and I maybe I should marry a fabulous oil tycoon so I could afford them.

  11. Sara Says:

Yes they are too high. Yes they are gorgeous. I think I could only walk or stand in them for about 15 minutes before I’d have to sit. But the sara thinks that she would be sitting pretty :)

    …………….

To gaze upon and drool a bit? No, not to high. To actually don upon my feet? Sadly, yes, that is much too high.

  14. Jalilifer Says:

    Oops! I hiccuped!

  15. shrimper Says:

Subtract 3/4 inch for the platform and they’re only 4 inches. Too high? For some, yes. for me, no. Yet that depends on the style and construction of the shoe. I have had 3 inchers that hurt like heck and I’ve had some very comfortable 5.5 inch heels.

  16. Christine Says:

There’s no such thing as too high! It’s just a matter of practice…

  17. Jennifer L. Says:

Only thing too high on this one is the price. WHOA Nelly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Poochie Says:

As shrimper says - it depends on the make of the shoe. Although, since I only wear a size 5, I sometimes find the 4 3/4 - 5″ heels a bit of a challenge (unless they have a platform, of course). I just don’t have the length of foot to carry it off.

    Not that I don’t have some, though…

  19. savvygal Says:

I will be so much taller…. who said a gal needs to walk. This kind of shoes is for getting into the car and sitting down somewhere looking pretty. Someone told me beauty is pain once….

  20. Lilly Munster Says:

Very pretty, but 3 1/2 ” is my limit. I can still dance and run, (if needed), in heels of that height.

  21. dangster Says:

It is certainly too high if you have the smaller feets. Even my size 6.5 feet would not be able to handle the heel of these shoes (3.75″ is my limit).
