Dearest Manolo, I am interested to find out your position on the exhorbitant prices being charged by retailers for designer shoes. I recently received an email from Saks that featured a flat thong sandal that was . . gulp . . .$695. We are talking three strips of leather and a sole here. The shoes were beautiful and appeared to be well made but the I did not feel that the price was warranted. What gives?
