At the beshest of the friend the Manolo recently watched Harold and Kumar Go to the White Castle. Happily, the Manolo is able to report that this movie is vastly more entertaining than expected, which is, when one thinks of it, perhaps not saying all that much. Still, there were the few genuine laughs, and the movie is not unpleasant in spirit and intent.
Of the course, one would have to work very hard to surpass this movie as the gold standard in classic stoner movies.

Agreed - one of the funniest movies ever made. Neil Patrick Harris is hysterically funny. My sides hurt I laughed so much.

I totally agree - I watched Harold and Kumar under extreme duress, and I loved it. I even think the early scenes of the film are really excellent social commentary.
