Thank Goodness for Velcro…
Manolo says, otherwise it would take hours to get into and out of these very costly, old-school Dolce & Gabanna gladiator sandals.
Yes, they may not be the most subtle expression of the Neo-Classical trend, but they are not entirely without their artless charm.

Am I the only one in the world right now who hates gladiator shoes? I feel like I am.
Fashionbigot, no you’re not. I’m sick of seeing them everywhere. I’m also totally over the bubble skirt. I wish that trend would just pop already!
No. I’ve ever seen a gladiator sandal that didn’t seem ugly, in the store or on a wearer, of either gender.
never
I’m with you folks. I can’t stand them….not even on gladiators.
Amen. Not even Russell Crowe could make these things look good.
To each her own; La BellaDonna, she confess to a decades-long fondness for the gladiator sandal, regardless of its being “in” or “out” of the fashion. However, La BellaDonna will never, ever, wear the sandal that has the “thong,” which is popular with so many.

Those make me want a spear and magic helmet!!!
I really really really don’t like velcro on high end shoes. It just cheapens them to me. The rip of velcro is not a classy sound.

True enough. But it’s a blessing when you have kids of preschool age and their teachers demand(!) that you fit them with shoes that do not need lacing or buckling.
I just don’t like these at all. I will be glad when this trend passes.
I agree that there is something inherently unattractive about this style. No matter how trendy these are, they probably will have a very short shelf life and for that reason alone I don’t think I’d buy a pair.
