High Heeled Shoe Racing Comes to America
Manolo says, the Manolo knew that it was only the matter of time until the Eastern European sport of stiletto racing arrived in America.
Happily, it is for the good cause, as Regis and Kelly and Dr. Scholls will be sponsoring the big race in New York City to benefit the March of Dimes. And you can keep your zlotys and rubles and euros, as the top prize is $25,000 of the American dollars!

I wonder if you can bet on these races in Vegas?

Um, who wouldn’t rather have the Euros at this point in time?

I’d rather have the euros.

Is this judged solely on speed? There should be style points for the racer who looks best doing it – including the outfit!

At this point, I’ll take florins.

At least the dollar is still worth more than the peso!

But Manolo, what is the Drag Race in Washington, DC if not a stiletto race? Perhaps not officially called a stiletto race, but not one racer would show up in less than a three-inch heel…

I’m going to have to agree with Kate. The Annual Dupont Circle race is called a high heel race. It certainly pre-dates the New York event.
