I hope I'm not being blasphemous here, but how gives a rip? Why can't you wear whatever suits you, whenever you like?

Go away pointy toe. My size 9, wide feet with rounded toes are not flattered by your extra length and narrow tip.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! My wide feet hurt just thinking about horrid pointy-toed shoes. I suppose I shall have to remain unfashionable but also pain-free.

I still like the round toes look but am ready for a change. I'm adding Manolo & Linda Grant to my fantasy Dinner for 8" invitation list. I think they'd be awesome people to meet and have as guests. They've certainly treated me to great new looks, ideas and gotten to laugh and wonder so many times.

La BellaDonna, she loves to look at the darling little round-toed shoes with their sweet snubby little tips; however, as the feet of La BellaDonna are not only long and narrow like the chisel, but pointy, after the manner of the Greek statues, she will continue to wear (as indeed she HAS continued to wear) the pointy shoe, only occasionally venturing into the shoe with the gently-rounded toe (in the larger size).

I agree with Roz. I didn't realize round toes had been in for so long. I was wearing pointy toes just a couple years ago. Either I was way out of style, or way ahead of the pack. Let's venture a guess as to which.

This is a surprise? There has been no shortage of pointy shoes strolling Westwood Village for a year or more. Some are modest points, and some approach the look of a 1-toed duck.

All, by the way, make your feet look huge. Just so you know.
