Congratulations to the Manolo’s internet friend Kari, who correctly answered what the Manolo considered to be one of the most difficult whose shoes challenges to date.
As the note, this week’s choice of Dyan Cannon was occasioned by the Manolo seeing her in the crowd on Saturday at the Grove, where the Posse Manolo was rolling. Sad to say, girlfriend is getting somewhat Wildensteiny.
I was going to say Dyan Canon…the photo on the floor of the Lakers game nailed it, but I was confused with some of the comfortable shoes that she wore.
Years ago my Rhodedian Ridgeback, Cecil, used to escape the gates and run around the neighborhood. One night I got a call from a lovely lady who said that my wayward beast was hanging around at her house. I went to fetch him at an obscure address on a street tucked in the hills behind the Bel Air Hotel…and yes it was the lovey Dyan Canon who had called me. She was charming!
Oh Cecil..his nicname was the “crime dog” because of all the wayward adventures he got into!

I was actually just watching “Death Trap” tonight…
Afterall, you’ve got that troublemaker Kristopher Dukes as one of your internet friends….

Oh..and how could you and your posse be hanging around the Grove and not come to visit me on Rodeo Drive????
Aha! I was with the Manolo, drinking sidecars as the posse rolled at the Grove. And indeed, Ms. Canon was not at her best.

Yay! I was just watching After the Sunset, which is a really terrible movie in which Dyan makes a very brief cameo at a Lakers game. I was reminded then of Dyan’s unique fashion sense — ladylike athleticism coupled with exquisite L.A. trashiness….which this week’s Whose Shoes managed to capture perfectly!
Maestro Manolo! You are hanging at the Grove? How have you not overturned the Crocs cart yet?
