I think we are going to see a TON of purple and violet for fall. I’d get some like these:

http://www.simplysoles.com/product/565

And pair them with tights in a smiliar but lighter/darker tone. I just bough a bunch of tights in shades of violet and lavender and can’t wait to wear them!

On behalf of those of us who are hit with the double-insult of being pregnant and living in a hot climate, I am so ready for summer to end AND I will likely be wearing strappy summery sandals and shorts right through Christmas even as my colleagues and friends cuddle into their wool sweaters. I'd wear those Kate Spade flats, though. Yum, yum.

Those shoes are so adorable I am rendered snarkless. I live in Vancouver, and don't want to think about fall...because it's indistinguishable from winter here, which is indistinguishable from being caught in a washing machine on the Cold Rinse cycle.

I am SO READY for fall! I loathe most summer clothing and can't show toe at my workplace anyway. Bring on the wool, the tights, and the boots!

You can never go wrong in a ballet flat with bow. Even better if there's a little toe-cleavage. Can be prim or sexy depending on the attitude of the wearer.

Those shoes ARE cute, though. But still...let's come back to them in another month. Maybe then I'll be ready. Until then, I'm in a sandal frame of mind.

I am convinced that it is only people in mild climates who are eager to see the end of summer. Living in Canada, I actually feel a mild rage at the fact that as soon as August hits, people start sounding the death knell for summer. The stores are full of fall clothing and "Back-to-School" items.

Leave Summer allloooooooone!! (/voice of Chris Crocker)

Say it ain't so! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not time to think of Fall yet. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will hold on to the vestiges of summer right through Labor Day, THEN I will break out my white capris in mild protest. But then again, I never really cared for or obeyed the dictates of the fashion gods anyway. I make my own style. And even if it does not work for someone else, who cares? As I heard growing up in Trinidad in the glorious sixties and seventies, "every fault is a fashion" (full Caribbean affect here). That has been my credo all along even when I traded my curried culinary delights for New York City sights twenty plus years ago.

By the way, who anointed these fashion gods?
