I’m missing the ‘Carine Rotfield is a goddess’ thing that seems to be the prevailing opinion in all the fash mags…to me, she looks in dire need of a hot bath, a good meal and an early night. And that hat is ridiculous.
The Manolo is of two minds with regard to the Carine. On the one of the minds, the Cult of Carine is decidedly overblown, and this ridiculous hat, which she has worn more than once in public, is evidence of that.
And yet, on the other of the minds, there is indeed something there, something worth watching. She knows fashion and she is fun.
Of the course, the Manolo’s current French girl obsession is the divine Mlle. Garance.
