Think Green McQueen
Manolo says, for some reason the Manolo woke up this morning thinking about the green colored shoes, and how difficult they are to wear properly.
For the example, here are the beautiful Alexander McQueen peep-toe pumps in the lovely green color.
The possibilities for these marvelous shoes must be quite limited, indeed, they are perhaps wearable only with the cream or gold colored gown.
Maybe the Manolo should revive the “Build the Outfit” game, as the Manolo would be very interested in seeing what his internet friends could devise for these.

Things with which I would wear these shoes:
My hypothetical wedding dress.
Dark, dressy, slim cut jeans and a cream or gold lace tank top.
A very dark navy dress made from a 30’s Vintage Vogue variety.
A burlap sack.
A habit of the Little Sisters of the Awesome Shoes.
My feeling on green shoes, hard to match shoes, and obnoxiously patterned or bedazzled shoes is, if they don’t go with anything, they must go with everything. Also, solid colors are neutrals.

La BellaDonna, she is desolute to dispute with the dear Manolo, but she wishes to point out to him that many ladies, and not just the AnthroK8 (hola to the AnthroK8!) see the green shoes as the neutrals, appropriately worn with the many colours and the many styles. The green, it is one of the favorite shoe colours of Erin McKean of A Dress A Day fame, and she has many of the shoes in the different colours of green. The Erin, she also views the orange shoes as the neutrals (per the AnthroK8, above). La BellaDonna, she is more apt to wear the green shoes than she is the orange (and the red shoes prior to either), but she agrees completely with the Erin and the AnthroK8 regarding the neutral shoes.

Manolo, you can wear those shoes with sooooo much!!!
I would go for the following:
distressed leather pants, a la Emmanuelle Alt, and black blouse
A bright yellow sheath dress with orange acessories
with a pair of flowered tights from Topshop with white lace dress

How about this:

In the grey color with the pink rose? I cannot stop drooling over it, but I cannot think of a single thing on earth to wear with it!
The black/red one is obviously much more wearable, but it’s not half so stunning.

With shoes like these I’d make them the feature of the outfit. I’d wear all black with maybe accessories in a matching colour – a scarf, earrings, etc. I’m doing something similar today. Utterly gorgeous green and black Kurt Geiger shoes with black skirt, black jersey and a scarf that matches the shoes. Simple, elegant and fabulous :o)

@wildflower: I think the gray is more wearable than the black, and more chic. I would wear it with black, a monochromatic outfit in shades of gray, any shade of pink (except the same color as the rose), or dark green. I think it would look best with eggplant or purple. And these are just the “safe” choices …

This dress. http://www.mainstreetvintage.com/listingview.php?num=7310&ref=21
Or anything else a little 40s-style retro flair. I see them going well with any number of things.

Not just green, but springy, cool, mint green. Silk, I’m guessing. For me, that puts them in the pastel palette. For day, I’m thinking printed silk dress that picks up the color just a bit for your LWL luncheon. Then for evening, anything that picks up the sparkle! Sequins, silver, satin. Also, the recent Dior lingerie collection comes to mind. The perfect contrasting color is rose pink. The lilacs and corals give you the similar, but split complement effect. I think those are the colors I had in mind in the silk dress. Mmm.

I would go with a multicoloured cocktail dress like this one: http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod91130004&parentId=cat10340751&masterId=cat10100736&index=37&cmCat=cat000000cat000001cat17740747cat000127cat10100736cat10340751
