Seriously, just buy Fryes. I inherited my mom’s pair of knee high Frye boots that she bought, oh, 20 years ago. I had to get the bottoms replaced, but that was *it*. .

These remind me of a pair of Harley Davidson boots I own. In fact, except for the indented stripe across the middle of the band, these look identical. I’ll stick with my $150 Harleys though, because not only will those last an eternity and a half, but they’re probably the second most comfortable pair of shoes I own (the first being another pair of Harleys).

Frye’s Harness boot looks almost exactly the same, is well made, lasts a lifetime and it’s a fraction of the price.

Yes, it is true, the Christian Louboutin Dillian Flower Pumps are $1700 at Saks. Not only are they are the signature shoes of this season, they are unique, gorgeous, and the beautiful example of the shoe designer's art. By the comparison, these Proenza Schouler boots are simply the well-made, designer knock-offs of the classic Frye Harness boot. The Manolo believes that you would be better buying the Frye's and putting the $1100 savings toward the purchase of the Louboutins; the reasonable solution upon which we may all agree.
