Madonna and Guy Ritchie for BMW

Manolo says, the news that Guy Ritchie has had the few mildly unkind words to say about Madonna has reminded the Manolo of this forgotten advertising moment.

Several things will immediately impress you. First, this is, without the single, solitary doubt, Madonna’s greatest acting achievement. Secondly, it is probably Guy Ritchie’s greatest cinematic achievement, certainly in his top three. Thirdly, who knew Madonna had this much humorous self-awareness about her own image?

    One of my favorite videos ever; it’s the reason that Blur song is on my MP3 player, I think of Madge’s wackiness–in the video and in real life–every time I hear it. I especially like the Blues Brothers shout-out with the airborne car.
