The Alexandra, Duchesa de Wallachia (my wife with the vampire accent) asks to where she must look to find the pointed boots? The Pointed toes? What happens here? Does she have to fly to Bucharest or Montevideo to find the pointed leather boots? All here are now round. These Americans are like the cattles moving all together the same way.

Personally, I’d have to go with the buttons. Although boots with laces can be fun as well. I just think boots without a lot of stuff hanging off them look more sleek and sophisticated.

I think the buttons looks puritanical and stuffy.. which leads me to love the laces. :) Super sexy and more free-spirited!

I prefer the buttons. It makes the boot look more sleek.

And according to that 1 review on Zappos for the lace boot, the laces are purely for decorative purposes.

To me the laces are bondage, while the buttons are vanilla–and I find the buttons sexier because I think of bondage in the “I’ve been kidnapped by a serial killer who is going to kill me” sense rather than the “How exciting that I will just struggle and the person who tied me up can use me as they please!” sense.

My husband wouldn’t find these boots sexy though — bless the man, he’s a wonderful husband, but he finds all high heels to be ridiculous.
