Whose Shoes Wednesday…The Answer!
By Manolo the ShoebloggerManolo asked, whose shoes?

Manolo answers, it is the Sally Field!
This week’s challenge was the rara avis when none of the Manolo’s internet friends was able to correctly guess the personage of note, only the second or third time this has happened, and one that has surprised the Manolo greatly. Perhaps, maybe we do not like this Sally Field so much after all?

Its not that we don’t like Sally, but her shoes are not very distinctive – they are good shoes and well designed, very tasteful – but they don’t scream Sally, or Diane, or Rita or Beth or . . . .

Dang it! I totally knew that and didn’t leave a comment!

Dang it! I *knew* that and didn’t leave a comment! The cowboy boots put me in mind of “Murphy’s Romance”..

We love the Sally Field, but Hester is right-the shoes weren’t distinctively “Sally Field”ish. Now if you had included the Nun shoes….(poor woman will never live that role down)

The Manolo looked for the picture with the flying nun shoes, but could not find them! It is the terrible omission.

Perhaps some sneakers (Keds?) from the Gidget era would have tipped off The Manolo’s readers. Or bare feet on a surfboard — although that would be antithetical to the purpose of a shoe blog. *wink*

Yes, we love Sally! Some of us are just terrible at identifying the footwear of the famous.
