I could be wrong, but my guess is the Pilgrims hadn’t heard of Black Friday when they decided to have the first Thanksgiving. Otherwise they definitely would have had it sooner. More time to shop, doncha know.

It almost doesn’t matter what else you wear with these boots, nobody will notice anyway.
As an European, I’ve always wondered why Americans have two holidays charged for emotional desaster so close together. I also wonder how you survive each year, since Christmas alone brings me on the verge of a breakdown.
