As a second-time grad student, I am currently experiencing the four horsemen of diversity fatigue, the vapidity of political correctness, pedanticism and verbosity minus proper attendant vocabulary. Gatenby understands and Norman Mailer was wrong, wrong, wrong. A fascinating and hilarious book about grad school can be written.

Hola to the Ari! La BellaDonna, she is grateful to the Ari for pointing out the oft-forgotten information that the Sherlock Holmes, he was DEFINITELY the man of action! So, too, was the brave and learned Dr. Watson, something regrettably lost sight of in many of the movie versions. La BellaDonna, she is looking forward with much delight to this version. She loved the Jeremy Brett incarnation of Holmes, but has room in her heart for others - especially if one of the "others", he is the Robert Downey, Jr.! She is so happy for the Robert Downey, Jr., who has struggled with much in his past. He was resplendant in Restoration; La BellaDonna, she does not hesitate to recommend it to those who enjoy his work. Or even just watching him!

I also loved the movie, and would like to point out that in the Sherlock Holmes stories and novels, he is much more of an action-hero than in the Jeremy Brett television series. This was my first experience of Robert Downey Jr, but I feel that there shall be many more to come.

La Petite Acadienne would watch Robert Downey Jr. reading the phone directory, and is delighted to find out that the movie is not a disappointment.
