I must see this Tales of Hoffman. I've read a lot of Hoffman, and the man was clearly insane. Just my type.

La BellaDonna, she asks, How was this possible? The skinny orphan girl who was the "courtesan" and whose boyfriend set her up in the millinery and dressmaking, and who gleefully turned around and made the skinny female figure popular for the next CENTURY, and who was the Nazi sympathiser, and who told her underpaid mannequins to take lovers to make up the fiscal shortfall when they asked for a living wage - THIS was made into a movie that was meh?

La BellaDonna, she would not put a penny into actually GLORIFYING Mlle. Chanel, but to make the dull movie - that takes a great deal of effort.

La BellaDonna, she will join The Manolo on the virtual couch to watch Tales of Hoffman - the glorious movie made England was still on the rationing and moving the piles of rubble from the war. It is the tour de force most splendid!
