The Fourth of July!
Manolo says, perhaps the single most delightfully jingoistic scene ever to appear in any Hollywood movie, featuring Soldiers, Boy Scouts, Patriots, Cowboys, Uncle Sam, and Teddy Roosevelt armed with the sword!

That is the whitest rap I have ever seen.

I’m pretty sure that when this movie was made there were more than 35 states in the Union. Too bad the flag creator didn’t catch on to it.

When the flag is being raised at the beginning of this, the performers are all in Civil War era uniforms. There were 35 states at that time. Seems like the “Flag Creater” knew more history than Jelodi97.
Also, the “Cowboys” are actually dressed as US Army volunteers from the Spanish American war (T. Roosevelt’s famous Rough Riders)

I absolutely love this entire movie and would never dream of analyzing it down to the number of starts on the flag as A. it would take far too much energy and B. it would ruin the fun. Lighten up and enjoy. It is what it is :-)
