(a) Wonder what that does to the wine?
(b) Don’t try that with champagne.
We have embraced the screw top in New Zealand. No shoes necessary, and they are actually better for the wine than corks are. The wine matures more slowly, but the drinkable lifetime is extended and spoilage is eliminated. Apparently the only place they won’t buy wine in screw tops is Las Vegas, where the customers tend to be of the opinion that wine without a cork must be bad. Or at least “not classy”.
Very cute way of opening a corked bottle and hehheh.. nice pair of shoes.
