Reed Krakoff Shearling Sandal for the Thursday

Reed Rakoff Shearling Sandals

Manolo says, these Reed Krakoff shearling sandals are simply stunning in this dove-gray-on-gray combination (indeed, they make the entire outfit for Our Miss Amanda Brooks over at the website of the marvelous Garance Doré’s).

What the Manolo loves most about this shoe is that it is at once restrained and sensual; the perfect combination of the Apollonian and the Dionysian. It has the clean, intellectual lines, and yet one can feel the pleasure-giving softness of the shearling.

If, you are looking for super fantastic shoes you could not do better than the latest collection from the Reed Krakoff, the name you will be hearing more of in the immediate future.

    Those are gorgeous. I want.

  2. Anonymous Says:

They’re perfect for me, I frequently strap squirrels to my ankles. These will save a lot of time.

  3. Anon, anon Says:

“‘Do you like what you doth see…?’ said the voluptuous elf-maiden as she provocatively parted the folds of her robe to reveal the rounded, shadowy glories within. Frito’s throat was dry, though his head reeled with desire and ale.

“She slipped off the flimsy garment and strode toward the fascinated boggie unashamed of her nakedness. She ran a perfect hand along his hairy toes, and he helplessly watched them curl with the fierce insistent wanting of her.

“…’Toes, I love hairy toes,’ she moaned, forcing him down on the silvered carpet. Her tiny pink toes caressed the luxuriant fur of his instep while Frito’s nose sought out the warmth of her precious elf-navel.”

  4. Faith Says:

And to think I’ll never like fury sandals. LOL Looks le chic in gray!

  5. Faith Says:

Looks kinda itchy. Hehe… but I like the color, though.

  6. angelhair Says:

Oh dear, I find I disagree – strongly! – with the Manolo. These shoes are hideous, ridiculous.

  7. Pandaeyes Says:

Unfortunately, I have to disagree with the maestro: these shoes look like ferrets trying to climb up the leg. Hideous. Or dead tribbles which will soon smell bad, or already are smelling bad. I will never understand the comeback of fur.

  8. Manolo the Shoeblogger Says:

Ayyyyy! These witty comments have made the Manolo laugh!

However the Manolo feels he must explain himself. It is the picture of the Amanda Brooks at the site of the Garance Doré that convinced the Manolo that these shoes could be worn to great effect.

Please, go to look at this picture now….

It is these very shoes that make this outfit so wonderful.

  9. Pandaeyes Says:

Dear Manolo: I feel honoured my humble efforts amused the maestro, but still: no. Nonononono. But really, you can’t argue about taste, we can’t all like the same things, no?
(By which of course I mean to say we all have taste and style, only different)

  10. raincoaster Says:

I’ve seen that picture, but I can’t agree. They do bring interest to an otherwise too-plain outfit. That outfit needs remarkable shoes. But that outfit does not need these shoes.

They look like Uggs put out a line of sandals for very expensive Mediterranean prostitutes.

  11. Dominique Says:

I saw them on Garance’s site and thought they looked really pretty too – I think I prefer them in the grey you show here although I prefer the way they look on a foot.
