    Ease of mobility, both then and now, seems not to be a major design consideration. When one realizes that the chopines were worn by courtesans and patrician women, for whom much walking at all was probably unnecessary, the term “platform” as a stationery concept seems especially apt.

    The curve in the back is nice but the front is a little too sparkly for me.
