    The Manolo knows Springsteen! Seriously cannot imagine wearing shoes like this, but they are striking. So striking, I can’t tell how I respond to them as shoes, but I do kind of like them as modern sculpture.

    I’m with Sherry. One can’t help but stare at them, but I also think of them as something that should be on a pedestal, not on a foot. Sherry also picks the right adjective: They are indeed striking.

    If only these shoes had tiny concealed jetpacks, enabling the wearer to cruise along. Maybe a couple of inches off the ground, for extra effect!

      I was thinking it would be cool just if little flames would shoot out of the “tail lights” with each step. Like kids’ blinking tennis shoes, only with fire.
