Run, Run

Not so much the artistic statement, as the naked threat.

Madonna has the gun.

As the Manolo noted, following the debacle of the Super Bowl, the Madonna phenomenon has entered the terminal, fascistic period, in which we are urged to join the Material Girl cult of personality at the point of the gun.

Buy my next album, or else.

Frankly, being menaced by the tiresome ego-maniac is not the Manolo’s idea of entertainment.

Well, how else is she going to get people to buy her album if not at gunpoint?

If it came down to buying the album or being shot, I’d gladly choose to be shot.

True musicians must continue performing past the traditional age of retirement, for the creative spark will not let them rest.

For those pop stars whose talents were primarily in marketing and shock value, it would be far kinder to keep them far from the crowds that have moved on, happily cocooned in a Holodeck-like device that continually replays successes from their glory days.

    Because this is pathetic.

Clearly this whole Lady GAGA thing has put Madge over the edge. Lets face it GAGA is younger and can do something Madonna never could do read/write music and actually play musical instruments.
