Marc Jacobs, Spring 2011: Who Wore it Better?

By Manolo the Shoeblogger
Anna Wintour in Marc Jacobs at Wimbeldon Finals

It is the tossup, really

Manolo asks, who wore it better? Malevolent crone, or freakish-scary doll girl?

  1. Madame Suggia Says:

Given that Malevolent Old Crone is wearing a classic trench +classic bob, she wins, by dint of freakish-scary doll girl wearing the consolation prize of a baggy-sleeved, too short banded collared abomination.

    Nice fabric tho.

  2. Manolo the Shoeblogger Says:

Yes, that coat looks great on her. But then she knows one of the great secrets of clothing: no matter what it is, from blue jeans to trench coat, have it properly tailored.

Say what you will about the Anna Wintour, but it is not age, stylishness, nor looks that makes her the malevolent crone.

  3. déjà pseu Says:

    Malevolent Crone for the Win!

  4. g-dog Says:

I like the classic trench better than the baggy shapeless rag doll look. So I’m going for the wench in the trench.

  5. Pearl Says:

Freakish scary doll! I just love the name you came up with.

  6. megaera Says:

Since the trench and/or Marc Jacobs brought a smile to the normally frostbitten face of Wintour, I shall go with the Slightly-less-than-malevolent Crone.
