Tabitha Simmons Embroidered Ankle-Strap Platform
Manolo says, the Manolo loves this platform sandal from the brilliant Tabitha Stevens for its playful details and bold shape. But he recognizes that it is perhaps not for everyone, thus the question: Would you wear it?

No, but that’s just because heels are very uncomfortable for me. Which is unfortunate, because I could use the added height. But the shoes themselves are very cute and I would enjoy looking at them.

That perilously high perch would guarantee a tumble for this person of a certain age, and the toebox is too flat for my venerable tootsies as well. I can appreciate this as a photo, but I confess that I’d probably giggle behind my hand if I were to see these shoes on someone that wasn’t fully in on the humor of it all while wearing them. What puts these shoes off for me, as I think about it is the second ankle strap, which seem discordant (stricture/ankle cuff) and incongruous with the playful colors and patterns.
All the best,

I’m far too old for those shoes. Mutton dressed as lamb!

I’d wear it only if I were Cat Deeley.

Ugly.

I’m slender, but my bones are too big for anything resembling a gladiator sandal/cage shoe/peeptoe boot. Shoes like the above are made for dainty things like Sarah Jessica Parker or Charlize Theron. I’d look like a guy in drag in the above. So the answer is no.

I like the embroidery but it looks over-designed to me, the extra strap over the toes is superfluous. However, I still wear 4 inch heels and I’m in my 50’s, it’s all about how well the shoe fits.

Wouldn’t wear it, don’t like it.
