The Strappy Sandals in Neutral Color

By Manolo the Shoeblogger

Manolo says, one of the Manolo’s many internet friends has asked the Manolo the question.

I have been graciously given a few coupons to use at Zappos.com But they are the “act fast or expire” kind. So armed with my new bonus of $70, I would like to find some neutral (bone, taupe, tan, bronze) strappy sandals.

I can probably put a few extra dollars onto it (70+150 or so) but am wondering which of their lot is

1) not matronly
2) not too high
3) fashionable

so I wonder, if the Manolo of the Shoeblogs.com would be so kind as to assist me.

Manolo says, the coupons! The friend of the Manolo is indeed most lucky. Here are three pairs of the super fantastic shoes that the Manolo thinks would be worth the wearing.

Stuart Weitzman - Suspend (Gold Matte Lame) Manolo Likes! Click

When the Manolo he thinks of the comfortable sandals of strappiness, he must indeed think of the Stuart Weitzman. This color, it is called the “gold matte lame”. Do not ask the Manolo how the “lame” it can also at the same of the time be “matte”. It sounds to the Manolo like the dangerous combination of the opposing materials, like the meeting of the matter and the anti-matter. Whatever, are they not indeed most pretty?

Charles David - Babe (Camel Kid) Manolo Likes! Click!

This one from the Charles David it is the simple and the classic choice, and in the color “camel kid” less dangerous than the “matte lame”.

Finally, here is this beautiful shoe from the Delman. It is the little more elaborate, but it is also, in the humble opinion of the Manolo, stunning.

Shoes For The Girl With The Wide Feets

Wednesday, March 30th, 2005
By Manolo the Shoeblogger

Manolo says, over the past several weeks the Manolo has received many, many, many letters like the following from his internet friends.

I appreciate your advice for women with the tiny feets, but I have the complete opposite problem.

What about the woman with the wide feet, the big feet, the feet with high arches? What can she do? Is she doomed to terribly unhappy shoes from Hush Puppies or Naturalizer or Easy Spirit?

Manolo says, the wide feets they are indeed the problem for the girls who wish to look super fantastic. However, the Manolo he can make the few recommendations.

If the girl she is possessed of the ordinarily wide feets–the sizes the C, the D, or the W–there are many shoes available at the Zappos that meet the requirements of both the size and the super fantasticness.

For the example this beautiful black boot from the Stuart Weitzman, which the Manolo he has recommended it in the past, it is available in the size W up to the 11.5.

Likewise, this sophisticated pump from the Bruno Magli, which the Manolo he has also recommended it in the past, it too is available in the W up to the size 11. (It is even on the sale, reduced 44% from the original price.)

If you wish to see more of the shoes that are in the wider (or the longer) sizes, the Zappos, they have the search engine that can accomodate this.

Much more difficult to find, however, than the sizes the C, the D, or the W, are the sizes the E, the EE, and the WW. Here the options they are reduced. The search of the Zappos, and the search of the sites specifically for the wide feets, like the DesignerShoes.com, show that the selections they leave much to be desired.

However, there is one brand of the shoe that has the selection in the widest of the wide sizes, these they are the shoes of Magdesian Brothers. These shoes, they are the moderately priced shoes for the big-feeted girls who will not give up completely on the stylishness.

Here are two pairs that are available in the WW up to the size 14, and that the Manolo he could live with.

Magdesians - Anna (Black Peau/Black Patent) - Women's

This shoe, it has the round-toed, retro styling and the chunky heel that are very much of the moment.

Magdesians - Alpha-r (Black Peau)

This simple black mule, it will create the illusion of the more slender foot.

Sadly, most of the other shoes from the Magdesians, they will make you look like the Mrs. Doubtfire.

Manolo says, of the course, the best and most super fantastic of all the solutions to the problems of the too large, and the too small feets is to have the shoes custom made. Nothing compares to this in the terms of the fit and the beauty of the finished product.

The Super Fantastic Regina King with the Super Fantastic Stuart Weitzman

Manolo says, here you see the picture of the Stuart Weitzman together with the Regina King at the big “bash” in the Hollywood. Those super fantastic shoes they are holding, which will be worn by the Regina at the celebration of the Oscars, they are made with the diamond earrings once owned by the Marilyn Monroe.

The Manolo he is the big fan of the shoes of the Stuart Weitzman, not only are they typically stylish, but they have a commercial vigor that the Manolo he appreciates, it is the couture widely available at the reasonable prices

Here are three pairs of the shoes from the Stuart Weitzman of which the Manolo he is quite fond.

Stuart Weitzman - Parable (Red Quasar Patent) Manolo Likes! Click!

Manolo says, it is the opinion of the Manolo that one of the things that the Stuart Weitzman he does the best, it is the strappy sandals. He has this very elegant, minimalist approach to the strapping. It does not overwhelm the foot with complications and adornments.

For the comparison, here is another little number of the strappiness.
Stuart Weitzman - Quadro (Black Peau) Manolo Likes! Click!

Again, simple, elegant, very much worth the wearing.

It is the same aesthetic of simplicity that the Stuart Weitzman he carries even into the boots.

Viva the Stuart Weitzman! Long may he reign in the realm of the mid-range, commercial couture!
