These shoes from the Celine are $500 of the American dollars!

Of the course, you would never buy them for yourself, as you are the poor girl, but your crazy friend, who is dating the Greek billionaire named Stavros, recently purchased these shoes, wore them once and now does not like them, and so she has given them to you, and they fit perfectly.

So you must build the outfit worthy of these shoes, but you only have $200 with which to do so.

Still you are clever, and your crazy friend says that Stavros has the single cousin who is nice and quite handsome, and perhaps there may be the chance at the double date.

Go! Hurry! Build the Outfit!

On Friday afternoon, the Manolo will pick what he thinks is the best outfit made for under $200 of the American dollars and award the person who composed it with the $100 gift certificate to the Zappos.

This red crochet clutch http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=12815&pid=485625&scid=485625012 $12.50 at oldnavy.com

This charming necklace http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=221947&CategoryID=2914&LinkType=EverGreen $70 at macys.com (yes, expensive, but classic! You could wear it for years!)

This ring http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=rings&product%5Fid=1037454515&Page=3 $4.80 at Forever21.com

And these DKNY sunglasses  http://www.sunglasshut.com/sghus.cfm?dir=templates&page=productpage&sitecategory=sunglasses&nproductid=121398 $79.95 at sunglasshut.com

This gives a total of $192.24, leaving some money to get a taxi home at the end of the double date, in case Stavros's cousin turns out to be less-than-handsome and wonderful.

The Imelda Blahnik has spent her $200 wisely, or so she hopes....
First, the shoes from Celine...

A Nine West dress from Macy's, on the sale for the $89.25;

A set of three distressed wood bangles from Forever 21, for $4.80;

Rainbow Stone Necklace, also from Forever 21, for $6.80;

Sophia Caparelli 'Josie' handbag in blue leather for a punch of color, and with buckles that echo those on the shoes, from JC Penney at $69.99 on the sale; and finally

Mossimo laser-etched sunglasses from Target for $16.99.  This leaves me with $12 and change.  Okay, now I want to go shopping.

Nothing says cool and summery like Linen and I think it would go fabulously with the fabric texture of the shoes especially in the light Flax color.

$69 - Linen Skirt Suit in the lighter Flax color
Flax

Shoes

$69 - Leather Flap Handbag

$34 - Wood Bead Necklace

Sale $9.99 Tortoise-Look Sunglasses

__________
$181.99

These shoes are vaguely 1920s.  There's something very Great Gatsby about them.

The top.  So not to compete with the skirt, it is the plain black, but with an interesting neckline. $24

http://www.bluefly.com/pages/products/detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=2057766539&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=7544783&N=957+4294967268&Ne=10&Ns=Price%7c0%7c%7cProduct%2bCode%7c1&Nu=Product+ID

Here is the skirt.  It is the cream linen paper-bag waist miniskirt with hardware to complement the shoes. $88

http://www.ardenb.com/shop/detail.asp?styleid=37781545&colorid=249&cat_id=2&sub_id=7

The bag.  Cream with the little Gatsby-esque tassel. $68.95

http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/15611172/c/5.html

And finally-- the square silver bangle bracelets matching the hardware on the shoe.  99 cents

The total is $181.94.  Use the leftover to buy a martini and perch yourself on a bar to complete the look.

The Manolo said this might land a date with Stavros' hot cousin, so I was going for an evening look, and since I know BR pretty well...that's why I chose their stuff.

Banana Republic $108

Banana Republic sale $48.99

Banana Republic $38

Forever 21 $3.80 for both (I'd go with black)

Total $198.79

Hey Diva,

All you have to do is press the button under the I button (directly above the 2nd and 3rd smiley faces). You will see it say . You then go to the picture, right click, go to properties, copy the URL, then paste it between the ][. Does that make sense?

I'd love to wear these shoes to teach my unruly college students who want the summer to start sooner than it should!

I'd choose this cashmere sweater for $99.99 from JCrew:

And this Harve Benard pencil skirt from Smart Bargains for $29.99:

To tie everything together, I'd take this Banana Republic bag with metal details for $48.99

These jade earrings for $19.99 from Overstock complete the outfit:

The total: $198.96
