Posting photos:

A couple people asked for help with posting pictures of their outfits.  I'm not sure if this is the easiest, or even the only way, but it worked for me.

I use Photobucket.com for photo/image storage.  I saved copies of the images I liked on my desktop then I uploaded them into my Photobucket account (and deleted the images from my desktop).  In my forum post, I hit the "Insert Image" button then copied and pasted the Photobucket 'URL Link code' in the appropriate space.

Good luck!

Hello hello, long time reader, first time poster, and HERE IS MY OUTFIT Cheesy

First is this black Kimono dress from Urban Outfitters ($58)

Worn with this cinch belt from Amazon.com ($15.99)

And this necklace (in Jade) also from Urban Outfitters ($28)

Coffee and Cigarrettes ring from ShanaLogic.com ($60)

Canvas bag from American Apparel ($30)

The outfit comes to about $192 (my math may be way off, beware) but there is money to spend at Starbucks should the diva so choose!

O.K., I'm going to try to post images per la petite chou chou's kind instructions.

First, a nice cerulean blue top, on sale for 39.95 from anthropologie:

Then, this skirt to balance out the sillhouette for 88:

Next, a cute little colorful bag, on sale for 44.95:

Finally, a silver necklace from target to pick up the buckle in the shoes for 19.99:

Outfit total=192.89.  I went with a slightly more casual (and colorful) outfit to go with the Grecian cruise theme, and I think this outfit would flatter many body types.  I'm hoping the images work.  If they don't, I may repost.

O.K., the photo links from antrhopologie aren't working, so I'll just use hyperlinks.

First, this shirt:

http://www.anthropologie.com/jump.jsp?itemID=16337&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=314&iSubCat=319&previous=1

Then, this skirt:

http://www.anthropologie.com/jump.jsp?itemID=16371&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=14&iSubCat=1798&previous=1

Then, this little purse:

http://www.anthropologie.com/jump.jsp?itemID=15917&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=336&iSubCat=354&previous=1

Finally, this little necklace:

And here is the hyperlink in case the image link doesn't work:

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_5/602-5053478-7819037?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000NNF13U

The grand total is still 192.89.  I tried the photobucket method of posting images, but I kept getting error messages when trying to upload the images from anthropologie's website.  Their images end in numbers after the .gif tag, which apparently is a problem.  If any of the Manolo's web-savvy internet friends could advise, I would be most appreciative.

I very much love this challenge because I am of the cheap/poor persuasion myself.  Smiley

I love the new silver trend that's been popping up, so I decided to draw that silver out of the shoes and keep the accessories focused on that in order to calm down the pattern in the dress.

For the people who are posting one image with all of their various pieces in it, are you using some sort of graphical editor to do so, or is there some sort of utility on the internet for this?

Thanks!

i used photoshop (there are free 30-day demos available on their webpage), but there are some good open-source image editing programs out there: http://www.gimp.org/ is probably the best, although still inferior to photoshop IMFFHO  Smiley

The Sweater- LaRedoute  14.99

The Skirt- Smart Bargains  79.99

Darn- hard to see, but the skirt is a linen blend with a bare hint of a metallic shimmer, but not much..

The Bag- Baghaus  19.99

The shades-    Forever 21 4.80

The Belt - Forever 21  5.80

Ring- Wetseal  8.00

The earrings- Overstock.com  32.99

My monitor showed the shoes to be cream and dark brown BTW.. hence the palate..

I get 166.56- Tasteful, a little flirty, showing the assets but not flaunting-  evidence to the  handsome young man that the superfantastic girl is a real woman, not a celebutard and shall be treated as the lady she is..  Enough change to go to Sephora!

Since I am a poor rich girl I must be super economical.

Assuming this is a polite lunch at a small cafe.....

First of all, the hand me down shoes from a good friend.

this adorable t-shirt-(american apparel-$28.00)

these cute and fashionable capris (olive) -(urban outfitters-$48.00)

and this military styled jacket that is not only cheap, but matches will in coffee color with the nice colors the above pieces have. (amazon.com-$14.99)

and just in case this is slightly more upscale of a double date we are talking about, or in case, as all people do, I change my mind from fashionably cool to cute-the below dress could take the place of capris and t-shirt, but still work with the jacket and shoes. And did i mention its retro? (http://www.reddressshoppe.com/images/redlotus1%20(2).JPG-$68.00)

All in all, the whole outfit, and the back up plan cost me $158.99. Not bad, and money extra to save for the next time i go out, in case his the date doesn't work out.
