Two disclaimers:
1) I am lame and don't know how to post pictures, and
2) As a plus size girl, I of COURSE put together an outfit I could wear. Smiley

In addition to those glorious shoes, we have:

Wow--those shoes really do look great for fall, but I'm dressing them for summer--with air conditioning.

The top.  Cheetah print because the AlAmirah website says those shoes come in cheetah print, too--so I went wild.  Besides, I love a little safari for summer.

The pants.  Long enough to graze the tops of the shoes.

The big huge tote bag.

The jewelry.  I've layered two necklaces, then added some simpler but heavy gold hoop earrings.

And of course--the shoes.

Total cost?  My rent for a year.

Ahhh, a classic, simple shoe!  So hard to pick an ideal outfit for, because it goes with everything!  Well, here's mine: Suitable for a nice date on a summer evening!  Nice dress, a light sweater in case it gets chilly, fresh purse, jewelry for some funk!

I decided to create an outfit that could go from the office to a 'night out' simply by removing the blazer.

Like some of you have mentioned, these seem like fall shoes but the current season and the open toe would suggest summer, so I tried to lighten up the look with complementary earth mama tones. I wanted the pants to pick up the color of the silvery rhinestones on the shoes and to minimize the tweedy look by using a variety of textures.

I've edited this to post the picture in a better format. Many thanks to Maggie the Cat for picture uploading instructions!!! Some of us may think ourselves fashion savvy, yet not tech savvy  Cool

Why does everyone have such problems posting pictures?  There's a VERY easy way to do it.

1) Click on the icon that looks like a picture frame.  If you hold your mouse over this icon, it will say 'insert image'

2) the letters img and /img (with brackets around them) appear on the page.  Your cursor will be between the two.  This is a computer language called HTML.  The img stands for 'image' and signals the web browser that it needs to show a picture.

3) You need to insert the LOCATION of the picture file.  You can find the location in a few ways.
  A)  Go to the shopping website you are looking at (use a new window) and find the item you want to use.
  B)  If you RIGHT CLICK on the picture you want to display, a box will appear.
  C)  Select PROPERTIES.
  D)  See where it says 'location'?  Highlight this ENTIRE address (starting with http and usually ending with .gif or .jpg).  Hit COPY.
  E) Go back to your reply.  Make sure the cursor is between the two bracketed phrases.  Hit PASTE.

Alternately, you can save the images you want to display and upload them to a picture-service website.  Once you know the location of the file, the process is exactly the same as above.  If you choose to create a larger picture which displays all of your garments together, you will need to upload this yourself.

Some websites, like ExpressFashion.com, utilize a computer program called Flash to display images.  This is most often used when the images 'move' like in a 'dressing room' feature.  You'll notice that when you right click on an image, the box will NOT include the option 'properties.'  If you still want to use these pictures, you will need to CAPTURE this image and upload it to a website.
To CAPTURE images, go to the website with the image you want to display.  Make sure the image is completely on the page (ie, not cropped by a tool bar).  There is a little-known button on your keyboard (for Windows users) that says 'Print Scrn.'  This button is your best friend!  It is located near 'page up,' 'page down,' 'insert,' and all those other buttons you never use.  Click 'Print Scrn.'  Open a picture-editing program like Paint (which came with your computer) or Photoshop.  Go to Edit, and click PASTE.  What did you just paste?  An image of THE SCREEN!  Crop the image appropriately.  Save the file and upload it to a website.  Use the location of the image in your reply.

As a previous post commented, these shoes are a little tricky because they would go with almost anything one wanted. And there aren't any cost or situational limits, either. So many choices! But the more I looked at the shoes, the more I thought the outfit needed to be:
1) elegant and classy, because the shoes are classy
2) made with some richly textured or patterned fabrics, to go with the tweed
3) highlighted with some demure sparklies, to go with the stones on the shoes
4) something with rich or bright colors, to offset the grey
5) a little dramatic, to offset the, well, practicality (?) of the shoes
6) not too dressy-dressy, because the shoes are flats
7) something with an ankle-length skirt, because I love them.

So here is my solution. And many thanks to MaggietheCat, whose simple and clear instructions I am endeavoring to follow:

Start with the skirt (rich texture, rich color, ankle-length, elegant):

http://www.peruvianconnection.com/product/id/5/36/100059/123037.do
(Persian rosevine skirt in plum and oxblood)

Then the top (simple black for elegance, form-fitting to balance the balloon skirt, but adds a little bit of drama):

http://www.peruvianconnection.com/product/id/123851.do
(Pima cotton crossover halter top in black)

I struggle with handbags, and it may not match in the burgundy (my preference) but it comes in black. I like the rich fabric and the deep color.

http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/19246861/c/68917.html
(J. Renee Carrington bag #5696 in bordeaux velvet)

And then some simple jewelry that will tie the shoes and the handbag together (a little gold and some sparklies in drop earrings):

And the shoes:

Many thanks to the Manolo for a delightful diversion!

I saw the girl who wears these shoes and being very practical.  she likes her trends but she likes to be comfortable while mixing current and classic fashions. She'd wear these as a day outfit, going to lunch with friends or family.

Another first-time poster here!

These shoes seem very autumnal to me, too (except for the peep-toe), so perhaps an outfit that would work in that transitional weather between summer and fall: something that is still light and airy for the heat, but leaning toward fall colours:

  • Chloe pleated neck tunic, $320
  • Sass & Bide Dresden shorts, $175
  • Kate Spade Jacqueline sunglasses, $180
  • Kenneth Jay Lane necklace, $188
  • Chloe Tracy tote, $too much
  • Pucci Pizzo print scarf (for your hair, naturally, to keep it off your neck in the heat), $120
  • Al-Amirah Lala peep-toe flats

See?  What you save on the shoes, you can splurge on the bag ...

These shoes look like something I'd truly wear to death.  And that crude but supercute shirt is being ordered as I type!  (I love it!  So saucy!)  For modesty's sake, I blurred out the nasty word in Photoshop.  I'd bleep for shoes any day!  Depending on the shoes, though.  Wink

I think I'd wear this ensemble while shopping in Kensington Market here in Toronto.

Since I'm pregnant, the idea of these shoes is delightful, especially to spice up some of the outfits I've got. Here is my idea (and yes, all clothes are maternity):

These shorts by Olian from Blossom Maternity:

This top by Notice from Due Maternity:

This bag by Anna Corinna from Luna Boston:

This Avindy necklace from Fragments:

This Kenneth Jay Lane Bangle from Saks:

These Tom Ford sunglasses from Nordstrom:

And of course, the gorgeous flats from Al-Amirah:

Et voila! Stylish pregnancy, here I come!

These shoes are so youthful!  I've created an outfit that's perfect for the college girl on her first date -- perhaps she's going to a sculpture garden and then some lunch.  There's even a sweater in case it gets chilly.
