I just finished a biography of Edna St. Vincent Millay so I am taking my inspiration from her. Sorry if these pictures are too big!

Wish I could remember where I got it!

These knickers:

Again, can't remember where they came from.

The thing I love about these boots is that they have a very subtle vintage or steampunk vibe. So in my outfit, I chose to play up those aspects. One pet peeve of mine is matching leathers, so while all the leathers are in the brown family, none are exactly the same as the boots. Oh, and I had to go pretty far afield for these; the satchel is a WWII vintage piece, the cincher is English and meat to be worn under the jacket, and the watch (which hooks around the wrist and over the thumb) is handmade in Japan. The hat is a traditional Greek Isles fisherman's cap, which I chose because it tied the brown leather and charcoal together. But many other hats would look smart with this outfit; a good herringbone cloche, an English driver or (if you were feeling thematic) a military cap! Enjoy!

*note: I think adding a charcoal grey ascot under the blouse would be a lovely touch, as would a pair of traditional brown driving gloves, but that's up to the wearer.

She walks in from the cold, loosening the scarf around her neck and unbuttoning her coat.  As the choir starts to sing, she smiles playing gently with the necklace around her neck that gently glimmers in the glow of the fire.

Fall/early winter is the best time of year for wearing and mixing bold prints in my opinion, and if I were a daring city girl, these are the items I would pair with these lovely boots:

Fluffy cream earmuffs from Juicy Couture to keep warm:

This art deco-y sort of printed tunic from Forever21:

Leggings from Vera Wang:

Prague black leather bomber jacket. It plays into the buckle detail on the boots, and I'm all for mixing brown and black the right way:

Clover necklace from Heidi Klum (yay for Project Runway starting next week!):

This embroidered hobo bag from Anthropologie to soften up the look a bit, but to add a bit of fun and whimsy as it "clashes" a bit with the print on the dress as well:

And of course:

I apologize if I'm double posting, I had an error... here goes again

A little bit Robin Hood, a little bit equestrian, a little bit funky...  these boots need a knee-length skirt to show them off best, a great riding jacket, and some punches of bright color.

Coat: Burberry Flared Jacket
Hat: Eugenia Kim Joy Cloche
Bag: Nancy Gonzalez small croc satchel
Top: lucky brand jeans leaf print cami
Skirt: alex marie jodie skirt
Necklace: dabby reid ltd pendant necklace

These boots would be perfect for a cooler day here in LA when I want to pretend that I still live back east and have Fall!

I created this outfit for a day of meeting my girlfriends for brunch and doing some shopping.  The clothes are plus sized since those are the ones that fit me.

I've been craving deep blues and browns this season (I've even been doing my eye makeup with those colors pretty frequently) so these boots just called out for a cute blue wrap dress and Igigi is known to have the best for the curvier figure.  To keep it casual enough for the flat boots I added the courdoroy jacket from Talbots and the playful touches of the necklace and bag.  The necklace is just the right length to highlight the gorgeous neckline of the dress and since I've recently bobbed my curly brown hair, I'm loving tying scarves in it.  I went with the Tracy Reese clutch to pull in a little bit of this season's gray tones and to highlight the buckle on the boots.

It is hard being the super fantastic girl during the autumn in Southern California.  It's not cold enough for her to wear a winter jacket, but she may experience a cloudy day or two.  So here's an outfit for the California girl that takes her new suede boots and pairs them with a favorite flowered skirt and some autumn colors.  Et voila, an outfit!

The perfect boots to complete a fun and fashionable fall outfit! I imagine wearing something like this during a crisp autumn day spent window shopping in Santa Barbara:

The dress is Marc by Marc Jacobs Cubist Print Dress.
The bag is Izaac Mizrahi for Target, in plum and black.
The cummerbund wrap belt is by Elegantly Waisted, in ivory.
The coat is Dorothy Lee One Button Jacket.
The fingerless gloves are ribbed cashmere in eggplant by Portolano.

Throw on some funky dangly earrings (easily and cheaply procured at Forever 21) that mimic the geometric print of the dress, a pair of cream tights, and your Enzo Angliolini boots, and you're ready to spend a fall day traipsing about the shops and mindlessly emptying out your checking account in style!

To sway a bit from the topic at hand, I LOVE THAT WATCH. LOVELOVELOVE. I want one.

Traipsing through crisp fall leaves calls for a pair of marvelous boots!

The orange dress and patterned scarf reflect the fiery fall foliage on the trees;
the organic, scalloped shape of the bag, earrings, and sweater recall the rounded edges of the leaves;
the woven woolens chase off the chill;
the bubble skirt rustles around your knees as you walk beneath a clear blue autumn sky;
and the boots!
the boots!
they muffle the sharp "crunch crunch" of leaves underfoot.

I love these boots!
I'd wear 'em with this feather dress by Emma Cook:

Cashmere cardigan from banana republic:

Waxed vintage leather hobo bag from zappos:

Dark brown herringbone patterned tights from banana republic:

These brass minimalist earrings from etsy.com:

And, of course, the boots:

Okay, my first attempt to "build the outfit."  I hope watching all those episodes of "What Not To Wear" has taught me something.

These boots says to me, that their owner lives in a beautiful English country home.  She'll put them on to walk in her garden, where one of her many admirers will meet her.

She can wear this beautiful floral dress from Anthropologie :

And a moss-colored sweater (found on bluefly.com) so she doesn't get cold....

She can carry this funky brown bag (also from Anthropologie) - perhaps to hold some love letters....

and then top it off with these beautiful jewelry pieces....

stone necklace from Bluefly...

And a cuff from southmoonunder.com

And of course the boots....
