These shoes are so romantic and soft, yet the patent leather at the bottom gives them a contrasting strength. I thought that playing with textures - both real and imagined - would compliment these boots.
The gorgeous Elie Tahari dress from Nordstrom is silk and has a romantic design, with brown ropes at the shoulders that will flatter the boots. The rope texture against the silk of the dress is the perfect accompaniment to the contrast that is displayed in the summer boots. The color of Carnelian against the browns could not be more flattering.
Along with the dress, simple and elegant jewelry would be worn so as not to detract from the complicated detailing of the dress and boots. Bangles are gold, brown, and cream. The brown bangles are actually wood, another subtle texture for the mix. The earrings are simple gold baubles, whose placid shinyness would bring out the shine of the patent in the boots.
However, these are between-seasons boots. While they are called summer boots, and I do believe they should be worn slouched and low for the silhouette of the dress, they may be worn when the weather is prone to turn while the lady is out shopping for her new seasonal wardrobe. If she becomes chilly, she may layer this chic, gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana leapord-print jacket. The Carnelian skirt peeking out from beneath would be just beautiful! The animal print suggests a new texture as well.
Last we have this subtle cream satin Prada clutch. The cream matches the single bangle in the bracelet group, and compliments every other color while remaining a non-competing neutral. The satin texture brings out the shinyness of the earrings and boots and adds depth. The details and hardware of this immaculate clutch are a matching gold.
I hope you enjoy!
