We like Manolo’s Gallery of The Horrors. If he had to choose one of the worst Shoe Crimes, which one would it be?

The Croc; with out the doubt , the Croc. It represents all that is evil about the modern world; the ugly, cheap plastic object that infantilizes the wearer and abuses the eyes of the beholder. They are peasant clown shoes, for clownish peasants.

Dear Manolo,

I am a Congressional page and I’m in need of comfortable, yet stylish, black shoes. Our uniform is a navy blazer with grey slacks or a skirt (with which we have to wear nude or black hose). I’m open to almost anything that looks cute.

At the beshest of the friend the Manolo recently watched Harold and Kumar Go to the White Castle. Happily, the Manolo is able to report that this movie is vastly more entertaining than expected, which is, when one thinks of it, perhaps not saying all that much. Still, there were the few genuine laughs, and the movie is not unpleasant in spirit and intent.

Of the course, one would have to work very hard to surpass this movie as the gold standard in classic stoner movies.
