The Six Pack?

Manolo says, the Kelly Clarkson, she must learn that the public baring of the belly it is the privilege, not the right.

  1. gina Says:

I think it’s adorable! We mustn’t forget that the key to being a fabulous woman is in embracing every curve with confidence. I mean c’mon, there are no rolls, there is no Tara Reid strange melting-stomach effect, and she is most definitely not the crazy psycho hose-beast that is Kirstie Alley. She has smooth lovely skin and a cute little belly button. Women should be curvy, not concave.

  2. Annalucia Says:

If the Kelly Clarkson is going to show that much flesh she should at least buy the jingly hip-scarf and take some lessons in the belly dance. Then at least the display will be put to good use.

  3. sweetiedarling Says:

While I agree with the Manolo’s wisdom regarding the public baring of the belly, I enjoy the Kelly Clarkson having a bit of a tummy (like the Madonna in the early years) rather than the revolting protruding hip bones that many of the Hollywood starlets bare publicly. I think the Tara Reid would do well to adhere to the Manolo’s advice.

  4. Lexington Green Says:

She is a fairly pretty but otherwise normal looking young, adult female. A little tummy is OK. It is a relief to see a performer whose body is not all manufactured and phony. We’ll see how long that lasts. On a related point, the music is execrable.

  5. Courtney Says:

Hmm, I think “the Evil One” aka K.L., would agree with you Manolo! Which is why I am sad to see you make such a comment. Maybe she should buy his book. Seriously, I don’t think she’s fat at all! Thin (but not neccesarily toned or anorexic-looking) girls who are overly self-conscious to the point of not wearing what they want to wear are such a drag. That being said, I really hate the shirt though.

  6. caia Says:

I must agree with Gina. While I am not so fond of her outfit, and would never listen to her music, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Kelly Clarkson’s body. I find the super-skinny, spot-my-collar-bones-from-fifty-paces look, that seems to be de rigeur in Hollywood these days, very offputting and unattractive. Therefore I am proud of a girl with some (very small) curves not letting those curves stop her from wearing what she wants.

If the Manolo wishes to mock the Kelly Clarkson, as I can see he might, in this picture alone he could start with the hair, the shirt whose sleeves appear to be attached with electrical tape, or what appears to be a Michael Jackson homage bit of leather on her left hand.

  7. Kate Says:

She looks fine. She’s what, 110 there, 120 at the most? With her height, she’s close to under weight.

It’s almost impossible for a woman to have an actual six pack and a period at the same time. She looks fit, and with how she seems to be built, she’d have to threaten her health to look skinnier or more built.

That said, that outfit doesn’t flatter her build. But it doesn’t flatter a lot of women’s builds. It’s like the poncho, in a way.

  8. Mimi Says:

The point here is not Kelly Clarkson’s weight, but the fact that she is wearing something that is so unflattering–she is showcasing what is not the most attractive part of her body. Perhaps a similarity can be drawn in the following quote from the inimitable Miss Manners: “Showing one’s bosom is poor taste. Showing one’s lack of bosom in poor judgement.” And no, I’m not referring to her bosom. I’m referring to her stomach.

  9. The Scarlett Says:

The Scarlett agrees that Ms. Clarkson shouldn’t be showing the belly or the belly jewelry. It is not her best feature. She is not fat … not in the least … but showing us her belly makes us believe otherwise long enough for us to be distracted from her voice or her music. In fact, having her flesh hang out over her trousers can not be comfortable. The Scarlett worries that her pants gouging into her abdomen might in some way limit Ms. Clarkson’s vocal range.

  10. Caithlin Says:

Oh, Manolo! I think the Courtney put it well. Yes, this shirt might not be very flattering on her, but she has a perfectly fine, normal-looking stomach. Perhaps you did not intend your statements to be construed in this way, but it does sound like you are criticizing her for not being a stick–or a stick with abs of steel. In all honesty, I would rather see Kelly Clarkson, looking like a real person, than a frightfully skinny model any day.

  11. desertwind Says:

    Who is Kelly Clarkson?

  12. enygma Says:

I’m not a big fan of her songs, but I have to admit that this girl can really sing. Also, I wish she didn’t dress like that. I’m glad she’s a normal girl and not an anorexic tween, but really? That shirt?

  13. Evie Says:

The shirt, it is ghastly. But the small tummy? I hope The Manolo did not intend to mock Miss Clarkson’s supposed weight issue? Because I for one do not see it. She is smaller than all but the most scrawny of the size 0 celebrities and models, and thus certainly thinner than most of the average–yet super-fantiastic!–readers of The Manolo’s fashion blogs. I choose to believe The Manolo was simply blinded by the awfulness of her top, because the alternative, it pains me.

  14. willow Says:

Six pack? Closer to a pony keg, actually. But I think that’s just the outfit. I can totally imagine her belly looking fantabulous in other clothings of the more tastefulness.

  15. Amy Says:

I think she’d look fabulous in some pants that FIT. I can’t wait until these damn low slung jeans go away - nobody but heroin chic celebrities and anorexics look good in them.

  16. amyc Says:

Thank you Mimi. And Amy, nobody looks good in sleazy clothes…nobody

  17. Starphuck Says:

god i would do anything for a nonexistant belly like that

  18. VeddyVeddyBadMan Says:

The correct size in pants helps immensely - go up 2 sizes, and voilá! No fat rolls! It’s a hard thing to swallow, though, to have to go up a few numbers on the pants, so I can sympathize.

  19. Kelly Says:

first of all…the way the picture is cropped so all you can see is her belly definately throws you off a little big…secondly, thats not even fat, its like skin…kelly is thin enough! i mean any normal sized person with that shirt on would still look like that…she’s freakin hot, and if you didnt’ know, her music is #1 EVERYWHERE…why don’t you judge what you’re wearing for once.

  20. Crystal Says:

Wow, I hope none of you have a shirt that someone else doesnt like because I can guarantee that you can not please every one, so the hell with pleaseing everyone and were what you want! As long as you arent seriously hanging out all over the place then wear it! If she likes the shirt then who cares, you arent wearing so dont worry! Im glad kelly doesnt look anorexic either, sorry but we need more girls that are alittle more average looking to get rid of this self consciousness America has.

  21. Kim Says:

Do you think Kelly Clarkson herself cares? No… if you have nothing better to do than sit here and hate on such a BEAUTIFUL and TALENTED girl, then you need to find your way out of the computer room! She is TINY in real life, you wouldn’t believe it! She isn’t annorexic tiny, but she is SHORT and SKINNY… she has a very normal body! I, in fact, enjoy seeing her stomach! It’s very cute, and as for her wardrobe… SHE CAN DO WHAT SHE WANTS! Way to go, Kelly!

  22. Stephanie Says:

Kelly is her own person, and that’s why I love her so much.

“If people tell me to get skinny, I’m most likely going to get fat to piss them off” ~Kelly Clarkson

    ^’Nuff said.

  23. Megan Says:

Ok sorry to rain on ya’ll parade but this is what a normal, healthy person SHOULD look like. If you wanna look at a stick go look at Lindsey Lohan.

  24. cheertech Says:

so who is this “monolo” ? and does HE have a six pack???? kelly’s sexy!!!! and thanks for the publicity! free publicity is always nice!

  25. Holly Says:

All i have to say is that Kelly reserpsents a normal women that has a normal healthy body…..this is what a person looks like without the use of a personal trainer and liposuction….but instead eating right and getting everyday excersise! … ahahahaha since when is wearing what you want a privilege and not a right??? hello wake up dude!….and yeah what do u think you were gunna acomplish by posting this….showing the public what a real women should look like and not all those ‘fake’ women out thier like lohan, paris, nicole, etc. but whatever i wasted enough time posting on this thing!

  26. Anonymous Says:

she is fine just the way she is

  27. Jessica Says:

I do not agree with the main post. Kelly Clarkson looks like a normal human being. She’s nowhere near fat or anything. I know this simply because I’ve seen her upclose wearing that exact outfit at a show. She has a normal body and has he right to show that off. What normal girl do you see that has a 6 pack unless they’re obsessed with the gym or starve themselves. People who post things like this are the reasons why so many teenage girls are starving themselves.

  28. Alejandro Says:

What, would you like to see ANOTHER anorexic star? Do you prefer the Lindsay Lohan, Hillary Duff barely existant look? I don’t know about you, but I would like my woman to actually be healthy and happy in her own skin. You can clearly see the Lindsays and Taras of the world are neither healthy nor happy. Kelly is an amazing woman, who is not afraid to show her tummy. More power to her!

  29. Sarah Says:

Its really sad that people feel the need to try and bring people down, just because they are jealous. Kellys perfect, and monolo or hansolo whoever the hell, knows it. Watch her go!

  30. sandyg Says:

Poor Manolo! I didn’t really think you were criticizing Kelly so much as chastizing her stylist! She’s a pretty girl with a lovely voice, and whoever is helping her pick out her clothing needs to pay a little more attention!

  31. Elle Says:

Her REAL fans think Kelly is perfect the way she is.. I guess that is what makes us REAL fans.. we know she is a normal human person who isnt goign to lower her expectations to meet what some of you want her to meet. The angel of the picture is not very good.. maybe you should stand in the mirror and think of all the crap the people are saying about the way you look. Besides what girl really has a 6-pack?

  32. Alexandra Says:

Kelly is awesome. She is not heavy and everyone loves her for herself it shouldn’t matter what she looks like as long as she is confident. She has her own style. And i respect her 100% because of that. She is a sweet, caring person. and she is beautiful.

  33. 21stCenturyMom Says:

Her stomach is fine - she just needs the pants that fit!

  34. Sibyl Says:

First off, no matter how thin she is, she still looks like hell in this outfit. Just saying.

Second, I always feel a twinge of satisfaction when I see girls dressed like this, because I outweigh them by a good fifty or sixty pounds but they have belly rolls hanging out and I don’t. Pants that *fit* are a remarkable invention, as are shirts that go down to the hips.

Thirdly, the Manolo has touched on the area of much sensitivity for the modern woman, and should not attribute all of these comments to the Kelly Clarkson partisans. The women are very tired of being told that their pudgy parts are unsightly, and will react accordingly.

  35. Aurelia Says:

Kelly Clarkson = crap outfit + crappier songs + way-too-tight pants + bad posture

  36. Ann Marie Says:

I think so many are missing the point, it’s not that she’s fat, she’s wearing unflattering clothing. Even that belly would be just fine if she wasn’t wearing sausage casing beneath it. She needs to show off her curves with something sexy and flattering — not with something tight and ill fitting.

No one, NO ONE looks good in ill fitting clothing. Be it a stick insect with oversized clothing that hangs off of them, or a heavier person wearing sausage-casing, with all the bits oozing out where they can breathe.

  37. Anonymous Says:

Wow! I had no idea Kelly fans were so l-a-m-e! (Well, maybe I did). Either that or they just don’t understand the point of the original post. I have nothing against Kelly, except that she should try and at least get clothes that fit her.

  38. RJ Says:

I personally think it is so rude for someone to attempt to bring someone feels about themselves down for no reason. Who exactly earned the right to tell people how they should dress or if they need to develop a 6 pack? I personally, love Kelly Clarkson and yes I’m in her fan club, and we love Kelly because she is our down to earth American girl. We love how fan hasn’t changed who she is. I’m glad that she doesn’t care what people think of her because look at our starts now, Lindsay Lohan who has a eating disorder and then there is Mary-Kate Olsen who also has an eating problem. Perhaps, it is people, like this Manolo, are part of the problem because he is feeding this stereotype of how someone should look that is famous. And anonymous might say that Kelly fans are lame but everyone has fans and Kelly is no different. She is a great girl and should continue to be herself because that sets her apart from everyone else that is famous!!!

  39. Catherine Says:

I personally see nothing wrong with the outfit or her stomach. Normally, I am the first person to notice if someone has a “hangover”, but this just isn’t the case here. Kelly is simply a beautifuly curvy (yet fit) woman. Not everyone has the same taste in clothing…it’s one of the ways we express our individuality. Kelly has a unique style. And as for Kelly fans being lame…I am in Kelly’s fanclub and I perfectly understood your first comment. I just DO NOT agree w/ it. I once had a stomach just like Kelly’s (before children) and Iwas extremely proud of it and I didn’t do too badly w/ the guys if I do say so myself! And as fr as I’ve seen the guys that usually put these grossly starved women on a pedestal are dorks, losers, or drug addicts. My husband would rather see me healthy than brittle looking.

  40. amanda Says:

I was standing up against the stage during one of her concerts, rested my elbows on the stage itself, and she came and stood right in front of me many times. I could reach out and touch her feet… the point is when you’re that close to her and her belly, you can see how utterly TINY she is!! she’s seriously the most itty bitty little person, including the tummy. She’s so petite, you have no idea til you see her standing in front of you. I’m 5′9 and 135 lbs and next to her I feel like a fat gigantic monster! I know her stomach isn’t all muscular, but trust me, its not fat either. She jumped around and not an inch jiggled or moved, and I was close enough to see if it did!!!!!

  41. Tori Says:

I respect Manolos’s opinion. But Kelly is thin. And she is awesome and beautiful no matter what. If she were 800 pounds i wouldnt care. Just as long as she stays true and a bright, lovely person she is

  42. me Says:

While I would not say I am a super-fan of Kelly Clarkson (my daughter is), I have to say she is no where near overweight. The outfit is not the best I’ve seen Miss Clarkson in, but oh well. I was reading in a magazine in a doctor’s office and there was an article on her. She said “You don’t have to be 100 pound to be beautiful.” and I completely agree with that. She’s showing that you don’t have to be bone thin to look good. I am glad that my daughter adores and admires Kelly. She is a very good role model. She’s saying that it’s okay to have a little curves. I’m so glad that Kelly is not bone thin like Paris Hilton or Tara Reid. I’m so glad that Kelly does not wear tube tops, hoochie shorts, and bikins in her videos like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Jessica Simpson. She’s a normal girl with a normal body. I respect her for that.

  43. Mrs. Hasselhoff Says:

How many of you little girls that are defending Ms. Clarkson’s clothing choice wore shirts just like it today?

How many of you pretend that you, too, have no flab blossoming beyond the tops of your trousers?

I was at the mall tonight. I saw dozens of teens wearing clothing that didn’t fit. I saw crevices I didn’t want to see. And I saw clothing that certainly was causing chafing. Most of these girls appeared fat only because they wore clothing that was too small.

Manolo isn’t calling Ms. Clarkson fat. He is saying she made a bad choice with this outfit. He is saying she could have looked better. Pants that fit properly would make her look as slender as many of you claim to have witnessed. Kelly needs a new stylist … one that isn’t afraid to say, “no” when a bad outfit is selected by the client.

Finally, this is Manolo’s blog. He gets his say and thousands read it daily. He gets written about in big city newspapers. Why? Because he is superfantastic and he wants us all reach our fashion potential.

  44. Shannon Says:

If you read Manolo’s message again you will see, that he doesnt seem to be talking about her ‘outfit’ as all you claim to say he is…it seems to me he is talking about her weight “she must learn that the public baring of the belly it is the privilege, not the right.” Your messed up! It is a right not a privilege! That message is CRYSTAL CLEAR that he isnt talkin about her outfit at all but her belly instead. That picture she is leaned over and it is called “SKIN” say it with me people everyones got skin! So quit picking on the only TALENTED singer left out there in her age group that can actualy sing and isnt a fake! You people have no lives talking about someones “ghastly” outfit or their weight, and if your thinking well your doing the same thing, this is the first message ive ever writtin in this blog or any blog for that matter. I am a proud Kelly Clarkson fan which is the only reason why im replying to this EXSTREMLY STUPID AND POINTLESS blog. You are are obviously jealous, so look in the mirror and then talk and put down this beautiful, confident, talented and ONLY GOOD ROLE MODEL out there! Why dont you try wasting your time on some other celebrity who deserves to be put down, because Kelly certainly doesnt deserve this…she has done more good in the world then any of you haters could ever even dream of! JEALOUS, JEALOUS, JEALOUS….keep dreaming!
    LOVE YOU KELLY :)

  45. Aurelia Says:

    Manolo, you rock.
    Kelly fans, you scary.

  46. A 15 year old who's tired of being judged Says:

How absurd we all are that we spend our time chastising other people over the internet? The only reason for my post is to defend teenage girls EVERYWHERE.

Mrs. Hasselhoff and everyone else who believes in similar fashion, certainly teen girls wear ill fitting clothing. I see it every single day at school. I’m sure I probably do it too. The point though, is that you probably do it as well. No one is perfect. I’m so frustrated with people making comments about teens these days. Do you want to know the truth about us? Some teens spend their free time running campaigns to find a cure for aids. Some teens spend their time on community youth commitees to educate the people around them. Some teens learn american sign language to communicate with the two deaf kids at their school. Some teens spend more time writing poetry or painting then they do picking out their clothing. Just like you, we have something deeper we want people to look at. Even the girls who go out flaunting their bodies, pretty or not, aren’t just asking for people to look at what’s on the outside. It’s a basic rule of human nature to judge what you see, but as adults, you should have learned to look past that by now.

We all have flaws, there’s no reason to focus on them. Forget the fact that you may not like Kelly’s clothes, body, or music, and look at the impact she’s making. She doesn’t starve herself and exclaim so proudly. She is a normal person who makes people feel comfortable in their own bodies. I wish people would take that into account before freaking out that her stomach doesn’t look perfect in that single picture.

I applaud Manolo for writing for big newspapers, that’s what I hope to do in the future. But you have to understand, his comments are blunt and to the point but go no further to avoid offending the character of the person and not just their outfit or body. Maybe you all should take that into account before exclaiming disgust.

  47. Kaley Says:

First of all, does it really matter?
Second, who the hell are you to judge?
Third of all, leave her alone, what has she ever done to you?

  48. Truc Says:

Oy. I’m more bothered by her hair and makeup.

  49. VeddyVeddyBadMan Says:

Which Kelly fan site directed all you people here, anyway?

It’s pretty annoying when you get people dropping in on a blog community who don’t understand the personalities and the purpose of the blog. Then they go ballistic, posting things that only serve to make the regular posters defensive and aggravated. Believe me, girls, you’re not winning any converts by continuing your diatrabes. Go back whence you came.

  50. Miss Tanya Says:

    Who’s High Pitch?

  51. Tom Says:

The Kelly Clarkson fans, they are wound up a bit too tight, like her pants. I too appreciate the non-crackhead curvealiciousness of the Kelly, but without the Saturday morning at Wal Mart look.

  52. Just Me Says:

I’m not going to try to get in between Manolo (my love!) and the Kelly Clarkson fans. I just want to point something out. Reading through all these posts, I’ve noticed how many people have pointed out that she’s not fat, not overweight, she’s tiny, she doesn’t jiggle, etc. While I think is AWESOME that KC promotes being yourself and that that is a message women of all ages need to hear, there’s another message going on through this board: fear of fat. What if she was fat? Would that make her less talented? Less of a person? What if her curves weren’t so tiny?
There is another choice b/t anorexia and “curvy” at 130 pounds. It’s called peace. I’m trying to find it by loving the body I have, curves, wrinkles, bumps and all.

p.s. to “A 15 year old…”: you rock on with your bad self.

  53. Lisa Says:

The Lisa, she agrees with the Scarlett and the VeddyVeddyBadMan and the AnnMarie… it is the lack of judgement in clothing size, not weight, that is the problem.

I cry every time I walk through the mall and see the size 4s insist on wearing the size 2s, resulting in what little body fat they have hanging precariously over the top of their waistline, not to mention the cameltoe that accompanies it.

  54. The Scarlett Says:

The Scarlett has read all of these posts including Manolo’s original. Please, Kelly Clarkson fans note: he doesn’t say she is fat but he is implying that she is not especially toned. You can be skinny and flabby on one extreme and bulky and solid on the other. La Clarkson is probably as tiny as all of the fans imply. She is possibly very comfortable with her body … but those of us that prefer a bit more modesty might not be just as comfortable with seeing so much of it. Personally, The Scarlett cringes, for example, when she sees even the prepubescent girls making their potential sexuality an issue by baring so much flesh. Oh, and The Scarlett loathes seeing so much of the Iggy Pop, for another example … an aging rocker (probably old enough to be the grandfather of many of the Clarkson fans here) that is toned and slim but with flesh ravished by sex and drugs that could use a shirt to cover up the effects.

The Scarlett has seen the Kelly looking better. Period.

  55. MC Menses Says:

I tried to download that picture of Kelly Clarkson, but her waist got stuck in my modem, which exploded in a cloud of lard. With Ruben being the food giant he is, and Kelly racing for his weight class, the American Idol reunion show will have to be shot with an IMAX camera.

  56. Moledog Says:

I’m a regular here and I love Mr. M unconditionally for his exciting and heartfelt presentation of new shoes. But these new posts don’t seem so pathetic to me. Many of these (I’m assuming) girls have valid things to say about their rights to wear what they want and brings to light the dark pain of feeling fat or imperfect as a young woman because of media crap. And yes it is varying shades of sexist, elitist and shallow to pick on someone’s physical form which I felt was at the core of this post even at the original posting of this picture. To say that these people have no right to write their opinions here because they don’t understand the climate here is equally as fangirlish. Anonymously gathering to delight in the mockery of others, even if they are rich and famous, is fun because it is shameful, so suck it up and face that you have been busted for being bitchy and mean, and that’s…OK.

  57. Kathleen Says:

I am pretty skinny if I do say so myself..even post prego. She is not fat. This, like many of the ladies have pointed out is not the most flattering outfit. Is that a shrug meets chaps, fire your stylist! Love the Manolo regardless.

  58. marlo_girl Says:

clarkson COULD lay off the donuts, but i disagree with the manolo: belly-baring IS a right… any lady who wants to look like she stuffed herself into a pair of pants that were three sizes to small (and have the belly popping out above her waistband) should be allowed to do so in peace. chubbos unite!

  59. Cassie 17 Says:

OMG! i cant believe manolo actually put this on the site. SO WHAT if Kelly is showing stomach, i think its hot. EVERY OTHER FLIPPIN ARTIST/ACTRESS SHOWS IT TOO! its REALLY NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL! if she’s got it, flaunt it! shes got a GREAT body, so she has EVERY RIGHT to show it if she wants too! it IS a rite, theres NO ONE who can tell her what to wear, so therefore it CANT be a privelage. if u wanna talk about privelages, what monolo did was a PRIVELAGE, NOT a right… because now he will have Kelly fans comin on here a stating an argument on this topic (pretty much like what im doing) i kno monolo isnt saying shes “fat” but seriously, c’mon now, shes thin enuff to show off her cute stomach, so theres NO NEED for this to have been posted.

kelly is GORGEOUS, shes REAL, shes HERSELF. shes got the most AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL voice in the ENTIRE world. i dunno how some of yall cant like her.

dont be jealous that u dont look like her, shes toned and fit. if yall cant see that then yall are flippin crazy! kelly doesnt HAVE to eat sumting she doesnt want too just because “she’ll get thin” and she doesnt HAVE to go on a diet either. kellys perfect the way she is now. id rather see a lil chub then a lil bone. ya kno? kell eats wut she wants, n SO WHAT? WHO FLIPPIN CARES! (obviously yall do) which is completely stupid. u dont have to be super thin to be in the ‘hollywood business’. i wish yall would understand that. dont be hatin just cuz yall aint as beautiful as Kell.

everyone else who stuck up for kell, yall rock too! at least WE kno what WE’RE talkin about! people these days, GOD! theyre flippin idiots! lol.

  60. syd Says:

that’s stupid! kelly’s beautiful and you should just leave your crap to yourself. She’s not fat or anything like that so shut it!!
    love…syd

  61. allow me to introduce myself... Says:

    Dearest Clarkson Fans,

I am a vowel, and I am your friend. Please use me and those that read the postings of the internet friends and fans of Manolo will be more likely to read and appreciate your oppinion. Just try it with me… A… E… I… O… U and sometimes Y as in KELL -Y- .

    Now you are all super-fabulous!!!

  62. Ken Pierce Says:

I tell you what, this blog is consistenly hilarious, but the comments on this thread verge on the priceless. The Manolo, he is over the top because that is his comic genius; and “Manolo says, the Kelly Clarkson, she must learn that the public baring of the belly it is the privilege, not the right” is a perfect example of the Manolo’s trademark pithy comic flair, with his mastery of le mot juste and of cadence and of the perfectly crafted comic persona. The Manolo, he is hilarious on purpose. The commenters, they are over the top because they haven’t got a freakin’ clue, and the guffaws they inspire, they inspire to their chagrin…I’m particularly delighted by the ones giving us solemn lectures about human rights under the apparent impression that the Manolo he was issuing a political, rather than a fashion, statement.

Oy, Manolo, your blog, it rocks.

  63. Sherrie Says:

Hmmmm… So who says that we can’t just wear what we like? Must we bow down to the fashion industry and the “rules”? It is more important to please yourself than to please the world… at least that is what I’m teaching my daughter!

  64. Theresa Says:

you people are messed, i recently saw kelly clarkson and i met her.. so obviously i would see how she looked and she is by no means fat. She is a beautiful person and if she if she feels like wearing a shirt like that then let her. If you prefer looking at skinny anorexic disgusting people such as lindsay lohan then go on right ahead. At least kelly can sing.

  65. Christine Says:

Everybody whose posting seems to be making a big fuss. It’s not THAT BIG OF A DEAL.

  66. Anonymous Says:

Frankly Manolo i would like to tell you what i think of you but it would be to rude to wirte and also i dont wanna stoop down to your level. If you think that is fat, take a look at the guy in supersize me and then look at the photo you posted. Personally yes i do think Kelly Clarkson is good singer and probably the most genuine celeb. i cant even see exastly what you are talkin about in the photo all i see is a musician on stage doin her thing. There is not fat or whatever on her body. She does not need a six pack i think we should all just leave er alone because she is and should be the most respected celeb. Yes you are entitled to your own opinion but maybe you mite be going a bit ott posting it on the ne. Keep your thoughts to yourself. (Suprised kelly hasn’t sued yet). And if you got anything nice ot say, dont say anything at all!!!

  67. Kelli Says:

Kelly Clarkson isn’t fat at all…she’s very toned and in shape. And yes, she IS one of the most genuine celebrities out there. I think she’s a gorgeous person, and an extrmemely talented singer. However, even I, one of her fans, will admit that the picture was not the most flattering I’ve ever seen…I don’t know about the shirt…but the pants were definately not my favorites. I’ve yet to meet someone though, who doesn’t take a bad picture now and then!!

But yes, I agree with Christine…it’s honestly not that big of a deal.

  68. Hikaru Says:

I think that belly of hers makes her that much hotter!!!!!!!! FYI ladies, guys like curves! I would take Kelly over a victoria’s secret model anyday!

  69. garnets Says:

Yuckk, that look is gross and sleazy. I find it sad that so many young women are walking around looking like hookers in training. You think you are being are being so free, but you’ve been successfully brainwashed by a trashy culture that uses women’s bodies to sell everything. Where does it get you? We’ve become a porno culture. Very sad. I hope the pendulum swings back soon, and girls and women rediscover the power of dignity and grace.

  72. Dave Says:

This is from a guy’s perspective, not only I, but others I know as well–
I think she’s hot, and her stomach is fine. She’s not fat, she looks good!

  73. Jen Says:

I have recently seen Kelly Clarkson in concert and was right at the front.
I have to say that not photo can do her justice! She is not just pretty but she has an amazing figure and definitely knows how to work it on stage.
With regards to this picture and other comments made, I think she looks fantastic!
It’s nice to see a celebrity that looks natural. When I say natural, that’s not a nice way of saying chubby either!
All of you people making negative comments should be ashamed! For it is people like you that make young people, mainly female celebrities, feel the need to go on crash diets and even end up with some sort of eating disorder.A perfect example of this would be Mary-Kate Olson. Look what happened to the poor girl!

People should have the right to choose what they wear.end of.

  74. Jen Says:

….and I have just read an article stating that Kelly battled an eating disorder when she was younger

  78. nick Says:

I think she looks amazing. seriously…i like skinny girls but i love pretty girls when there’s something to grab!

  79. tara Says:
