Manolo says, aaaayyyyyyyyyy! The shoe blog of the Manolo it has just had the 1,000,000th visitor!
The shoe blog of the Manolo it was started on the 16th of the October of the 2004, and now, just less than the year later it has had one million of the visits! Truly we live in the marvelous times!
Of the course, the Manolo he must thank his many internet friends for their continued suppport. It is the many, many friends who make the humble shoe blog the place of entertainment and wonder.

Many congratulations to the Manolo, whose success is well deserved. He has given us the site which is blessedly free of the politics and the other plagues of the modern age, and has concentrated upon the beautiful shoes (and sometimes the horrible shoes) and the Celebrity Fashion Disasters for us to laugh at. How could such a site fail to give pleasure to many people?
In fact, the Annalucia hereby dubs the Manolo the P. G. Wodehouse of the blogosphere, and hopes that he will continue to entertain us and to receive many more millions of the hits.

Do you know, to be serious for the moment, the success of the Manolo, it truly makes the Norma happy, because it means that it is still possible, in this age of general chuckleheadedness, to do something witty and graceful and smart and have it appreciated and in fact lionized. When I turn on the television and see the peoples snacking on live eels, or kissing the asses of the vain and windy, or engaging in staged, camera-friendly relationships with their fellow pod people, or in a million other ways behaving like vulgar, stupid toads, I can say to myself, “No, this is not all there is to popular culture — there is also the Manolo!” He is a balm to my wounded spirit, a great comfort and delightful entertainment — and a source of beautiful shoes por encima! Oh, it is a lovely thing you have done for us all, maestro.
