Fashion Trends From Russia
Manolo says, it is the fashion week in Moscow, and if those words they do not strike the terror into your heart, perhaps these pictures of what the stylish czarinas will be wearing will.
Thigh-High Leggings and Attack of the Yarn Monster Sweaters.
Aunt Fanny’s Tentacled Duvet Cover Corset Coats.
Scrap Fabric Halter Dress with Unicorn Headpiece

The first 2 looks like papier mache experiments gone wrong, very seriously wrong!
As for the third one….I think you are being charitable calling it a unicorn headpiece. At first glance, I wondered why anyone would want to attach a portion of the male anatomy to their scalp! The Lorena Bobbit line of headwear?

Please do not generalize the whole fashion in Russia with some examples of some really bad fashion show… I would agree with you completly if you adressed specifficaly the designer and not the russian fasshion and as you say “the stylish czarinas”… You can probably find equaly disastrous fashion on any other fashion week from Paris to New York…
And I agree that these three pictures are horrible!!!

The last one looks more like a very ticked off horned demon. Perhaps the designer he has been playing too much “Heroes of Might and Magic” or a similar computer game?
Of course the Gryffon would look equally irritated if someone even asked her wear that thing, (the dress OR the headress), never mind both at once.

Ugly, yes: uglier than what is displayed on the runways of the West, no. And the Annalucia sympathizes with the urge to use the gaudy colors when they are available, as the Russians have been stuck with blacks and drabs for far too long.

These outfits are really quite lovely. And by lovely, I mean that they are the hideous grotesqueries that the unfortunate people that flunk out of the Klown Kollege are forced to wear.
And, they made my tummy hurt.

I kinda like them.
Like an explosion in a borscht factory.
But then I’m loaded.

I gotta say that when I was in Moscow a couple of months ago the street wear was not that much better.
Sheer is in, especially for nanas and pre-teen boys. And lairy knee hi stockings in multi colours…
