Manolo says, ayyyyyy! The Samurai Suzy she has been made the Sir Suzy by the Queen!

In the novel “The Children” by Edith Wharton, one of the characters remarks how she didn’t want to see the “standardization of beauty.” The character’s friend observed how the women around him were dressing alike, talking alike, even eating and laughing alike.

I, for one, am very happy that the hat conceals that truly awful coif that she sports.

The Suzy has the right ‘tude to hang with Crown’s guard. Matching the head gear and the jacket is rockin”’

I adore Samurai Suze. Bully for her, choosing her own look, instead of pandering along to the cavils of fashion. (you know we ALL do it.)

Marcia,
As an English woman, I would be shocked if Suzy wore anything BUT Philip Treacy hats. Suzy and Isabella Blow both seem to champion certain english designers…More Rayne than Westwood, very “olde schoole”
Hmmm…
I just gave myself an aneurism imagining La Menkes in Zhandra Rhoades…
I need a cup of Tea and a sit-down.

La BellaDonna says Hola to the Kourtney, and respectfully begs to differ. We do not “all” pander to the cavils of fashion. La BellaDonna does not, and she suspects that she is not the only one here who does not. When the caprices of fashion are kind enough to present to La BellaDonna those items that suit her taste, she avails herself of them; when the fashion, it capers down a different road, La BellaDonna, she goes her own way, hunting for the treasures that appeal to her, making or having made the articles she needs or wants (such as the black-and-white spectator granny boots so recently acquired).
Like the Suzy, this has occasionally provoked for La BellaDonna the unsolicited, the unwanted, and unwitty comment, but La BellaDonna does not allow this to dictate to her the choices she makes.

[…] is the fact that the best fashion commentary is now found on the internets. Indeed, outside of the tiny handful of professional critics, the Manolo rarely reads fashion commentary in the old media. He prefers instead the immediacy, […]
