  1. Say What? Says:

Doesn’t anyone make a festive dress shoe in anything less than a 4″ heel or, better yet, a flat??

I cannot wear heels. Yes, I know, many people will pooh-pooh this statement and say “dahling, of course you can wear a heel!” Well, to be truthful, they would be correct. I could wear it, I could not WALK in it.

My friends have not dubbed me “Gail Mary Lack of Grace” for nothing.

  2. Annalucia Says:

Say What, you are not alone. The Annalucia, she can walk in a heel which is two inches in height, and no more. One-and-one-half inches is safer.

The “Nikel Silver” color, it made the Annalucia’s heart skip a beat, the price tag of $1098 almost made it stop entirely. Ay, ay, ayyy…

  3. Cindy Says:

Those shoes are truly beautiful and any women would truly feel sexy walking into a room with something so truly elegant on her feet. I love the details and the straps. With the price, though, I guess I will remain a dreamer.

  4. La BellaDonna Says:

These are the shoes that La BellaDonna could wear if she were perched on the edge of the bed, and nowhere else (that is, if she survived looking at the pricetag. Aaaaieee!)

La BellaDonna has, however, seen variations of the Festive Holiday Flat, which is what the feet of La BellaDonna can wear, in the gold, in the silver, in the black velvet and the burgundy velvet, and suggests that the other height-impaired sufferers look to them. (La BellaDonna, who is very fond of boots, also has the Kitten-Heeled Boots in Black Velvet, with Gold Spangles; she has also the flat-heeled boots in the silver leather [shades of Courrege!], and the delicate granny boot with low heel in the gold leather. Yay to the holiday boots!)

  5. Cat Says:

The Cat is also unable to wear the high heels (nothing over two inches and even then, it depends on how the shoe is cut) thanks to the fact that one of her big toes (and soon, the other as well) has been surgically fused such that it does not bend. So, those who would pooh-pooh and say to her, “dahling, of course you can wear the three-and-one-half-inch heels!” would be incorrect, as it is physically impossible. She cannot even stand on her tippy-toes. But she digresses. If she *could* wear the high heels, those are the holiday shoes she would wear. They’re gorgeous.

    Hmmmm.

If you’ve got issues with balance then I’d suggest either yoga or tai chi.

  7. Moi Says:

Gorgeous shoe!! I could’ve used it for a Christmas party last week!

  8. Never2ManyShoes Says:

Ah, the Christian Lacroix shoes always look gorgeous and glamorous! I feel slinkier just looking at them!
Looking at the price tag would make me feel bad, so I’m not.

  9. la petite chou chou Says:

Give them to me. I can walk in any heels.

  10. Livia Says:

I can’t look at these without thinking of severe foot pain and the consequences of a bad fall, with twisted ankle parts. Wow, the prettiest $1100 disaster of the season.

Ed, you’ve got to be kidding. Tai chi and yoga won’t fix inner ear problems, weak ankles, or damaged toes. However, if you like those shoes so much, sir, you may wear them, and we shall stand back and watch you walk in them, preferably with a short, tight skirt.
