Manolo asks, whose shoes?

  1. Gina Says:

Cate Blanchett is coming to mind, but I can’t put my finger on why.

  2. K Says:

    Laura Bush?

  3. Gina Says:

    K -
I’m sure your guess is better than mine. Yours makes a lot more sense.

  4. Mery Says:

    Yes, she´s Laura Bush.

  5. Doralong Says:

    Senator Clinton?

  6. gemdiva Says:

Those are some seriously frumpy pumps. Got to be a political wife and since Hillary has fatter ankles, I’m guessing Laura Bush.

  7. paul Says:

I’d know those cankles anywhere - that’s Laura Bush.

  8. Hester Says:

Wow, great minds think alike. When I first looked at the pictures, Cate Blanchett came to mind (proper Austrialian/British foot wear?) - but now that folks have mentioned Laura Bush, I’m not sure!

  9. The Charlotte Allen Says:

Meryl Streep comes to my mind.

  10. liz Says:

    Sigourney Weaver?

  11. Cat Says:

I was initially going to say Hillary Clinton, but thought the ankles were too slender to be her. I’ll go with Laura Bush.

  12. edith Says:

    it’s definitely mrs. bush -

  13. see Says:

Definitely Washington DC dress code. Adding Nancy Pelosi to the mix because of the skirts.

  14. Alison Says:

Definitely Laura Bush. You can see a piece of Barney in the first shot.

  15. JaneC Says:

Yeah, it’s Laura Bush. It looks like she’s walking a dog in the first picture?

  16. Anonymous Says:

Yes, that seems to be the “first dog” in the first pic

  17. Megan Says:

    Barbara Walters?

  18. Victor Says:

I agree with the consensus–as soon as I saw them I knew it was the First Lady.

  19. Haley Says:

I agree with everyone else. Laura Bush.

  20. Andrew C Says:

    Laura B

  21. Anna Says:

Hilary Clinton? The trousers. I don’t know why.

  22. Julie Says:

Definitely Laura Bush. The photo second from the right was taken on the Oval Office rug.

  23. Obi's Sister Says:

Laura Bush. She has the same problem with petite trousers that I do!

  24. Meg Q Says:

Laura Bush. Her ankles are slimmer than Hillary’s but her legs aren’t as skinny as Nancy Pelosi’s (two other women who wear shoes like that), and for some reason her pants are never quite hemmed right - I’m petite, too, and I’m very picky about my pant lengths! New purchases almost always have to go to the tailor, even if they’re “petite” sized. That’s probably why she wears so many skirts.

  25. la petite chou chou Says:

Laura Bush seems to be the best guess. I guess I was sorta thinking H. Clinton too at first. However, there is a solution to her pants issue….GET STRAIGHT LEG TROUSERS.

They are extremely flattering on every woman, they don’t do that bunchy thing at the ankles because the can flow nicely over the foot…and they are so modern…

Also…those don’t look like cankles at all.

  26. millyleet Says:

    Laura Bush!

And what’s Hester on about with the “proper Austrialian/British foot wear?”???
Cate Blancett has great style these shoes don’t seem very her.

  27. La Petite Acadienne Says:

Yes, it is definitely La Laura…

  28. sarah Says:

Camilla (as in Prince of Wales’ wife)

  29. g-dog Says:

I also believe it is some politically associated woman, but didn’t remember seeing L. Bush in pants, much less such poorly fitted pants! I acquiesce to the others before me. And their proficiency at identifying the “who” in the shoes is really starting to scare me…

  30. Phyllis Says:

The 3rd photo from the left looks like either the rotunda floor of the US Capital or a rug in west wing of the White House. So I’d say Hilary, Nancy or Laura.

  31. Andy Shoes Says:

I vote for Nancy P. The pants in teh far right picture look like the colour of suit she wor on a recent trip to the middle east.

  32. la petite chou chou Says:

I can’t guess them…I can only agree with other probable guesses.
