Manolo asks, how are these beautiful Prada ballet flats produced?

This little movie is like the Holy Relic for the Manolo.

P.S. Many thanks to the Manolo’s friends at the Shoeflyer for this.

No wonder the Prada driving mocs I have are so solid and have worn like iron over the last three years. They didn’t have a break-in period, either.

The little old man and sappy music make me just want to run out and spend $1000 on as many Prada flats as possible!! sigh..

    Good movie!

This is what luxury is about: the craftsmen behind the product and their love for it. As opposed to mass manufacturing in China or the like. When you buy a shoe like this, there is the shoe, there is the brand but there has to be a reason for its price and value, and in my view, this is the human creativity and expertise that is behind it. I’m off to the shop, but what a dilemma now… which colour combination?

That was fun! As a sewer I love seeing the ancient sewing machiens, the high tech equipment and of course the beautiful handwork, for wich there really is no substitute.
