Oh Good God. What is the world coming to?
These pictures look like they were taken in 1985! In 2000 years some aliens will discover it and not know which era they were taken in.

Many thanks to the Manolo for turning me on to this Krakatoa of questionable taste.

It seems that the Manolo hasn’t yet discovered the Croatian representative Severina with her song ‘Stikla’ (in english: shoe, pump). Her song says: grass will never grow where my shoes walk! And her pump of choice is Marino Fabiani.

Is it just me or do the two Romanians on the right look like they’re getting ready for something? She has assumed the position and he’s checking it out preparing to board?….

If only I could find the pictures of the Belgium singer and her backup dancers in the man-corsets…

I am having a Eurovision viewing party tommorrow. A mixed crowd of Brits, Norwegians, Scottish, Indian and Americans and a token French eating Texas chili and drinking French wine, single malt Scotch and German beer. We will watch the BBC version with Terry Wogan. The object of the party is to get as smashed as possible and thus pretend that the music is decent. And be too blurry eyed to see the costumes.
Barring that, at least the hangover the next morning masks the ringing in my ears.
Will report back after the “festivities”.

Oh and by the way…have you seen the Finnish entry? Mind boggling. A Christian death metal zombie hair band. Seriously.
We got to see the “semi finals” last night.

It does my heart good to see such inmitigated silliness going on somewhere. The world is a strange and wonderful place.

I agree with Ryno–the world may be ending, but in Romania the flashy beat goes one!
