The Debutaunt

Manolo says, one of the Manolo’s internet friends, the Debutaunt, she needs the help.

Dear Manolo The Superfabulous Shoeblogger,

Here is a funny but sad blog that would be fabu to check out:www.debutaunt.com

Deb is a HUGE fan of yours and has had you listed in her favo blogs for a while. Anyhow, a couple of weeks ago she learned she has leukemia. So, since her blog is her life, she is blogging about her leukemia.

Right now, whilst fighting the cancer, she is trying to stay in good humor about the fashion. She is picturing her chemo as Uma Thurman in the yellow track suit fighting the 99s. She has pix of her fabulous sock monkey PJs, and is currently discussing the best way to go around with no hair on the head. She feels like a pirate with scarves so right now is just sporting the ball cap with nice earrings.

Anyhow, I am writing you because I bet a quick comment in her blog from Manolo the Shoeblogger would completely make her day. If you would like to extry help, a link to her blog might be nice because she is trying to raise money just to live. She is going through chemo and because of a abnormal chromosome, is likely going to need a bone marrow transplant. It is too sad because she has a 5 year old who she can’t really see much while she is being treated (the germs), but she is fighting like crazy because of her.

She likes focusing on the fashion parts of her illness because it is better than thinking of the reality of it, and you have to laugh some or else you will cry all the time.

Here is the link to her fund raising plea:

It is no fun being a single mom with no current income and a very bad illness, but as she says, at least she wasn’t killed by a bus immediately, at least she has a fighting chance.

Ciao!

Steph, Deb’s sister

It is the least we can do to send the positive thoughts and the prayers towards the Deb so that she may be returned to the good health.

Also, the Manolo he would point out that the bald womens they can indeed be most super fantastic!

So, although the hats and the scarves, they are nice, there is no reason to not proudly sport the chrome dome. Let the others think what they will, you have the more important things about which to worry, such as what shoes to wear to the hospital so as to impress the doctors with your determination to prevail.
