Oh look, is that a gardenia in his lapel? And he’s sniffing a rose? Olfactory overload.
Why would the Bonny Prince be experiencing the Quiet Desparation? He now has everything he’s ever wanted: his longtime lady-love, a clear path to the throne, more money than God…
But no clear path to the throne – since Mum isn’t interested in stepping down. He’s probably thinking something along the “how can I…..” lines.
yet, he does always dress so beautifully, you must admit that.
Here’s the thing.. I’m one of the richest persons on the planet. What do I have to prove to anybody , and who is going to stop me for exercisting my perogatives? Do you really think that tabloid opinions are going to shame me into a set of values that is not applicable to me?
The “Royals” have and will always be a souce of “news”. They have been doing their thing since the beginnign of history. So today and 1975 is no different.
Smells like my granny, I miss her so much, I wonder whether she is in heaven or hell, is there a heaven or hell? I dunno, why do I have to know these things, that’s what I hire people for, to know these things for me. Oh it’s so difficult this princely life, smelling flowers, looking somber, and it’s ALL AN ACT! No-one, no not even darling poopsie Camiilla knows what I go through. The suffering, THE SUFFERING!
Oh, right, people are waiting for me, must look serious, just put the rose on the coffin, Charles. Is a rose a rose because it’s a rose? Or did it used to rise and now’s it’s risen so we say, it rose? right: walk away Charles, walk away.
i think he loves roses…
La BellaDonna, she admires the middle-aged gentleman who still stops to smell the roses. Even more, he seems to be very much in the moment; the focus is all for the activity, which is not a bad way to conduct one’s activities.
La BellaDonna also appreciates that not only does he enjoy the flowers, he does not give the fig – or the florum – whether he not he is photographed so doing.
Oh the Manolo, the Pink Floyd quote, the genius. It is the English way, isn’t it?
Actually, the Manolo he was thinking of the original Thoreau: “Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.”
Although, now that the Manolo considers it, the Pink Floyd’s “Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way” is equally appropriate.
Now that was a refreshing juxtaposition for an AM checkin!
He and I share a birthday, not an age, and I’ll never say a mean word against him.
